Pirates are converting Stetson Allie and his career 12.5 BB/9 into a hitter.

I really hope somehow the Mets, Marlins, and Nats all get in. It's possible. They just have to fend off the Giants, Braves, and probably the Cardinals.

I know he has some stupid power. He was a part of all those home run clips you see of Bryce Harper back in high school hitting in tropicana. He was always just a thrower anyways, so maybe its a good decision.

It's as if they think 8 walks in 0.2 innings is bad.

Pretty pumped about Allie converting. His control was very, very wild.
In other news, Tony Sanchez got promoted to AAA. Good for the kid.

Kind of sad that a guy drafted FOURTH for his signability/closeness to the majors is just now reaching AAA at 24.

He's 24, it isn't like he's 27 and just now making it to an MLB roster... LOOKING AT YOU RYAN THERIOT/BRETT PILL.

Doesn't help that he has been hurt a lot in his career.

Third and seventh rounders versus fourth overall. Then again, that draft has been a mess after the top two and a few in the teens.

You could kind of say Tony Sanchez was a success as atleast he's not Matt Hobgood, or Tyler Matzek or Kyle Gibson. What an awful draft.

Matzek is doing pretty well lately. He's not dead in the water yet.

Thanks for the update. I hadn't followed him since last year. Was one of my favorite prospects that year.

Anyone interested in a regular MLB draft? 8ish people, 8 fielders, 1 DH, 5 starters, 3-4 pen guys.
Hines start a thread...
