Guys, stop talking **** about Portland! We're gonna get Drummond and Lillard. We already have one of the two best power forwards and the league and we have a ton of high energy guys. The NBA is our oyster.

Phoenix can save anyone, ANYONE. Portland shouldn't have tried to put him on the court a couple of years ago when he wasn't ready, and they should have noticed the damage done to Brandon Roy's knees.

You guys drafted Bowie over Jordan, and then you drafted Oden over Durant.

They also manged to swing a draft night trade of Tyrus Thomas and Victor Khryapa for Lamarcus Aldridge. RESPECT.

the Nets are 100:1 odds of winning the title next year. I think that's pretty good odds considering if D-will and Howard end up there.

You could win 10,000 off a bill.

and fyi

miami is 11:4
okc is 5:1
and bulls are 6:1

knicks are 35:1! easy money! let it riiiiide.

Greg Oden should get the same "procedure" that Kobe Bryant had done. he'll be dominating in no time!

Because you can't crown a modern-day champ without a "Requiem For A Dream" highlight reel:

(Sadly, I couldn't find one that was made in the past 24 hours, with Finals clips. The internet has failed me...)

Congrats to LBJ. He had one of the greatest runs I've ever seen.
Yeah, Jordan totally had a tougher path. By '89 or so, the Pistons were the only thing standing between him and a ring. That Pistons team was nowhere near the greatest team ever, but they might have had the deepest 10 man rotation ever. More importantly; when talent wasn't enough, they played dirty. Hell, they took pride in playing dirty.

It was like if you had eight guys on one team who had all of the talent and all of the batshit insanity of Ron Artest.

Dallas should bring Greg Oden in for cheap even if he's confirmed he's not playing this year like Brodie said.

That's when basketball was real basketball. The 80s and 90s produced a much better brand of basketball than we see today. That's the era of basketball that I fell in love with growing up.

The game is so soft now. I miss those Pistons teams, the 90s Knicks, all the tough beat you up turn it into a bar fight teams that would make you earn every basket.

Nowadays LeBron can take 5 steps to the basket and if anyone sneezes on him it's a foul. He would have left the game in a stretcher if he played his style in the 90s. The Knicks and Pacers of that era wouldn't let that **** slide for 4 quarters. They'd take him out.

My favorite basketball quote of all time is from the 30 for 30 "Winning time: Reggie Miller vs the New York Knicks"

Greg Anthony: “We would say, ‘Hey, we’re gonna win something tonight. We’re either gonna win the game or the fight.’”

Loved that era of basketball, and I loved those Knicks teams. Those were real Knicks teams.

Not to mention MJ got the same preferential treatment from refs that Lebron gets.

No player has ever gotten as much 'special treatment' from the refs as MJ.

Nowadays LeBron can take 5 steps to the basket and if anyone sneezes on him it's a foul. He would have left the game in a stretcher if he played his style in the 90s. The Knicks and Pacers of that era wouldn't let that **** slide for 4 quarters. They'd take him out.
What's the fallacy for "everything was better back in the days" called, again? Because MJ got away with more than LeBron did, so shut up BBD.

MJ got plenty of calls yes, but he also had to fight through hand checking, and a brand of basketball that was a lot more physical than today's game.

You were like 5 when MJ played so sit your ass down.
