Ethier just stared down Zito after getting hit with an errant curveball. Hilarious.

All I expect is .270 with double digit home runs. There is no single player that would make the Cubs a competitive team. I am just excited to see what the team looks like with the September call ups with Brett Jackson and Josh Vitters. They will be bad but maybe we can see some glimpses of hope of the future.

Three others I would like to see get a shot in September are Matt Szczur, Tony Zych, and Michael Brenly.
Szczur is a more athletic Campana. Zych could be the closer of the future. Brenly just because he is Bob's son.

Szczur is in High A, he is a long long way away. Also, he is struggling down there so I don't really get why people are excited about him. Also he is already 22 and still in A ball.

Excited because he is actually able to focus on baseball. Id expect him to make a nice jump after getting a full season of just pro baseball.

He hasn't been impressive enough to really make a huge jump. He's been solid, but meh. I don't expect Szczur to be anything.

He already had a full season of pro ball last year. He's a mediocre prospect.

2nd Division center fielder/4th outfielder for a real good team. I'd say he would be a success if he gets similar numbers to Brett Gardner.

Gardner is an amazing defender. Haven't heard the same about Szczur.

Was just speaking offensively. It doesn't really sound like he has a feel for the game defensively and a lot of times can make up for mistakes with pure athleticism. Pretty much a 4th outfielder who can play any of the outfield positions but won't be above average at any of them. Also, that's if he is a success, not guaranteed at all.
We should be talking about HOON HA.

Josh Hamilton continues his record-setting pace for losing his bats in the crowd ...

17 homers in 222 innings last year, 9 in slightly over 45 innings this year. There ya go.

Corey has just proven a correlation between being a dick sucker and serving up gopher balls. We have all learned something here tonight.
