not really, we have 3 LBs right now and are looking to take 4 or 5, besides, analzone is an inside guy, for which we only have deeb and didnt take anyone last year (we only took 1 LB last class anyways)

Im pretty sure thats our 10th commit so we get 5 more.
Technically we can bring in 18 per year. 3 EE's and 15 regular enrollee's. They fully expect Max Browne to be an EE, and possibly Cravens so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

18 this year, next year max 15 (if you take the full 18, or at least 15 regular enrollees)

15 scholarship limit per year.
Last year, SC took 12 that counted against their 2012 class (first of the 3 years of scholarship reductions), so they could bring 3 EE's to count against last years class. They could bring in more EE's, but they would count against this years class.
This is apparently 11 commits so far for the year, but they will be sure to have at least 3 EE's, if not more.
Impressive recruiting job by Kiffin so far...have to see how it comes together on the field now.

are we really talking about spots left in july? there will be a ton of roster turnover as a result of a college season.

Don't think it really matters for USC who leaves.

FSU picked up two 3* commitments yesterday, though one is questionable. First a legit one from 3* OL Ryan Hoefield from New Orleans, projects as an interior OL. The second one from 3* CB Adrian Baker from Chaminade HS. Supposedly Eddie Gran accepted his commitment but it doesn't become official until Jimbo Fisher signs off on it. The kid has tried to commit twice before and would appear to be pretty far down FSU's recruiting board at DB, so we'll see.

FSU officially accepted Baker's commitment.
Meh on the commitment with the players still on the board like VH3, Artie Burns, Mackensie Alexander, and Rashad Robinson.

He coached under Pete at SC. When it comes down to it regardless of the sanctions, all the coaches that worked under him know how to recruit. I was very upset when we lost him.
Kiffen and Sark were 2 of the best recruiters we had in a long time. Orgeron will always be the best, but they arent far behind.

So, can someone explain to me how this isn't against some sort of rules...
So Iowa has a verbal commit 4* IN DE David Kenney, who committed back in April. In the last like 2 weeks, Indiana just hired (supposedly) his dad as their "recruiting coordinator" or is close to doing so/it's a pending hire.
Now there are rumors of Kenney having interest in Indiana.
So, Indiana hired/might hire the father of one of the top DEs in the country during his son's senior year of HS. How is this not against the rules?

This has been happening since the dawn of time. It's a disgusting practice but seriously, this is not a new thing.

I don't know, that's why I'm asking. It seems ridiculous that you can hire a family member of a recruit, and just have it coincidentally be during the same time period when the kid is a recruit.
So basically you can't give a kid's parents a car or money, but you can give them a job?

Ya, I don't really follow recruiting any more outside of Iowa, so it hasn't really affected any past Iowa recruits. Still seems ridiculous.

That is the same way New Mexico pulled a top DT out of Florida a couple years ago. Bad schools need to do whatever they can to get talent. I think the NCAA should have a rule though IF a team hires a HS coach it cannot recruit from that HS for 2 years.
