Ray Rice Signs Extension

Very glad to see this contract front loaded.

I disagree with people who say Rice is better then Reed. You can make a case Reed is still the best safety in football if not top 3. Rice isnt a top 3 lock at one of the most replaceable position in football. I looked at his stats against top 15 defenses last year and he averaged 4.1 yards per carry. That is average. But he is an elite pass catching back and we need that with Cameron telegraphing the routes a mile away and the WRs cant get open.

I would put Ngata, healthy suggs, Reed in front of him no doubt. Probably Ray as well. Also you could argue Yanda is a better G then Rice is a RB.

But the way that our offense works Rice is at worst the 3rd most valuable Raven.
