He is filming a movie with Adam Sandler. Clearly that takes more of a precedence over Raw 1000.

Yeah, I was going to say, considering Austin's shown no problem making guest appearances, there almost certainly must have been a scheduling conflict.

I still get chills when Undertaker's theme comes on. I'm going to miss him so much when he decides to (although he pretty much has) retire.

Can't believe they wasted the money in the bank though. It was pretty much useless.
And how can you not have the very first Unified Champion on the 1,000 episode of RAW?

http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/st...-knee-surgery/
Steve Austin has posted a new blog entry on his official website, detailing why he was not featured on the 1000th episode of WWE Raw.
Quote:
On July 23, 2012 WWE celebrated the 1,oooth episode of Monday Night Raw. I watched the show from my home in Los Angeles. After watching the show, I got on my Twitter account, @steveaustinBSR, to read responses to the show.
There were many people blaming Vince McMahon and the WWE for not having SCSA on the show. And there were some folks who had some very negative things to say about me, personally.
The reason I did not attend RAW 1,000 was because I underwent a major knee surgery on my left knee on July 2, 2012. Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA performed the surgery.
The surgery was a complete success. I am currently three weeks post op. I began physical therapy a few days ago. I had a world class surgeon and a great medical team working on me.
I am now working with a top notch PT team. I am still on crutches and will probably lose the crutches in another week.
Then I will be in a custom knee brace much like the braces I wore in the ring for 9-12 weeks.
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN IS A 100% ASS KICKING MACHINE. There was no way I was going to limp down the ramp on crutches for RAW 1,000. It was time to get my knee fixed. The decision to no-show RAW 1,000 was made by me and no one else. I have always taken pride in making my shots and have never faked an injury or illness. Pro Wrestling is a tough game and it was time to pay the piper for some of the damage I incurred in the ring. No gripes. No complaints.
To the fans that were hoping to see SCSA, I’m sorry I missed the show. I would have loved to be there under different circumstances. I normally keep my personal business to myself, but due to feedback and incorrect speculation, I have posted this blog and given the 411 on why I was not at RAW 1,000.
I will post more blogs about my PT and recovery soon.
Steve Austin

I am not sure if this was talked about, but I'm glad that The Miz is back hoisting a title.
Oh, and I want a Stone Cold-Punk match REAL bad.

The following is from WWE.com:
Effective immediately, John Laurinaitis is resigning from his position as Senior Vice President of Talent Operations. Following his very public firing at June’s No Way Out, Laurinaitis continued to work behind-the-scenes in his corporate role. After eight years of service in talent relations, he’s “burned out” and now hopes to concentrate on what he knows best: putting together matches and working with WWE talent as a producer.
More on this shortly.

"where do you get your potatoes?" I was cracking up. JB reminds me so much of Dick Pepperfield
But yea Bully Ray is the best heel in wrestling today. I actually met him and Devon once, and he was actually really nice. I even got their autograph.

Jericho and Ziggler's feud is the best thing in wrestling right now, with Punk's slow burn heel turn at #2 and Aces and Eights as #3.
This Jericho and Ziggler feud is exactly what both needed, really. Jericho needed to "move down the card" because he hasn't won and his name is big enough that it brings value to that part of the card. Plus, him working with Ziggler actually creates a storyline for later on when Ziggler is champ and Jericho (after touring) gets to do the whole Mentor vs. Protege thing. Plus, the match will be awesome.

It'd be hard for me to say anything in WWE right now is the best thing in wrestling. Raw has become really hard to enjoy. The best in WWE is probably the Jericho/Ziggler feud even though it hasn't amounted to much yet. Punk is of course awesome, though not as good as last year.. and Damien Sandow is the man.
TNA is just all around great these days. Aries, Roode, Bully, Joseph Park, James Storm.. even the AJ Styles/Claire Lynch storyline has turned out to not be as bad as it seemed at first.. mainly because Christopher Daniels has been really good in that slimy heel mode. Possibly because of the power of the Appletini.
