"Meanwhile, ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi cites a league source that told him that Gordon could have been a top-10 pick in 2013. "

CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora, some scouts compare him to A.J. Green. La Canfora also adds that if Gordon would have been able to stay with Baylor, he would have been a top-10 pick.
Not saying it's set in stone, but how is it "No way he was a second round pick in 2013?"
You honestly just throw out random bull **** some times and hope it sticks.

I've studied numerous 2013 draft projections including those on NFL Network and nobody I have seen gave Gordon any such rankings, I have never even seen him even mentioned as a top 10 prospect among the WR's never mind overall.
I'll agree that he has some talent but he only deserved to go in round 3 IMO and giving up a round 2 pick was a reach for a franchise that cannot afford to gamble.
IMO, Holmgren and his team are totally desperate after losing out on RG111 and their jobs are on the line if they bring home another 4 win season after 3 years on the job, that is Matt Millen like #'s.

fear the elf, a Brown's fan who cannot see to the end of the tunnel where another 4 win season is just around the corner.
Since you want to make it personal, obviously you have zero credibility since you predict every year that the Browns will be better. I've got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn, I think it might suit you, you might need it when your 50 and still waiting for a winning season from a Lerner owned team. You'll be before Lerner gives you something to chear about.
I don't make excuses for incompetence, the Browns are the new Lions, get used to it. they are going nowhere soon. It makes me SAD but I'm not going to sit there and believe in the fairies when the reality is facing me head on, like you want to do.

I don't understand how you can troll for 7 years. Do you get enjoyment out of it or something?

I can view the team with a fair bit of objectivity, but you are right, I do usually predict improvement each year. I'm a glass half full kind of guy, what can I say? But you refuse to ever be positive about anything; always with the doom and gloom.
The constant nay-saying gets tiring...

Funny stuff, I love it! The Browns, the Lions and the Bills are my favourite teams because at one time or another, those are the areas I lived in or was the only team I could get on my TV. As you can see, I have a lot of experience with rotten franchises whose owners left a lot to be desired and I took every one of them to task for their ineptitude. However, if you go on the Lions site today, you will find that I am the most positive guy around because at last, they are doing it right. Give me a sign that a franchise is going in the right direction and I'll be right there cheering them on but don't ask me to excuse mediocrity when I see it clearly as I do with the Browns.
At least you got the dead horse part right(just being funny), but really, I cannot see in any of Holmgren's actions anything positive for the Browns. His total failure to get RG111 leaves me cold in the water wondering what the heck is his plan because I just don't see it. I love my Browns with a passion but so far IMO, Holmgren is a total failure as a manager trying to rebuild a franchise and I honestly feel, he is in a panic mode after his abject failure to obtain RG111. Maybe I'll be proved wrong but I'm not holding my breath.
We are both Brown's fan and my anger isn't directed at you but at the Brown's. I know it is hard for Brown fans to have the facts pointed out to them especially a half full type of guy, but I won't let up until the Browns start doing something right.

Lerner apparently sold controlling interest of the franchise Friday.

Come on, guys. We've all seen worse WRs go in the second round. Some people talk like they've never actually watched the NFL Draft.
Also, the people who made the pick probably aren't too worried about next seasons draft.

Gordon is almost exactly the same as Brian Quick with pretty similar underclass stats...
Brian Quick 6-4, 220
40: 4.55
Bench: 15
Broad Jump: 119 in
Vertical Jump: 34 in
Josh Gordon 6-3, 224
40: 4.52
Bench: 13
Broad Jump: 121 in
Vertical: 36 in
Quick went with the first pick in the second round, so it's not out of the question that Gordon wouldn't go in the same range in a regular draft.

Second-round pick Josh Gordon is already running with the Browns' first-team offense in three-receiver sets.
"I think that’s one way for us to get three of what we consider our better receivers on the field," coach Pat Shurmur said. "(Gordon's) made great progress to this point, but he’s got a long way to go. But he’s eager and he’s smart. He’s really very football smart, and I think that shows." It's becoming readily apparent the Browns aren't going to ease in their Supplemental Draft prize. Gordon is too raw to be counted on to make a major impact in redraft leagues as a rookie, but he'll be someone to monitor closely in preseason games.

Yeah.......... He's got an entire offseason to learn the Browns offense and grow with Weeden. I wouldn't be shocked to see him make an impact this year, simply because playing time is going to be so easy to get with those receivers.

Everyone's saying ridiculous things about him, some people comparing him to Moss (obviously absurd) but still... He is wowing people with his size and speed at training camp.
