I know everyone is being hyped in training camp, but supposedly Tavon Wilson is adapting quickly to the NFL and getting some first-team reps opposite Patrick Chung (the other potential starting candidate being Steve Gregory.) For better or worse, Wilson may get some substantial playing time this year considering New England's inability to stay healthy in the defensive backfield, the overall lack of top players, and Belichick's affinity for sub packages including those with three safeties.

Is Robert Turbin in the mix for the starting RB job in Seattle in light of Marshawn Lynch's off field issues? If so, he could be a nice sleeper candidate for OROY.

Lynch most likely isn't going to be suspended this year. And if he is, it'll be two games at most.

Turbin is a very average player.

Yea there isn't much you can do about JPP, it's not like Tyron can block him on his own when JPP is on his game but we at least needed to infuse some talent there especially being that we are soon going to be looking for another QB to develop. Free really looked out of sorts at LT and Tyron has that quick first step needed over there. Though in reference to Watt it was a match made in heaven with him and Wade Phillips, I knew he was going to bring out the best in him. Certainly would have loved to have him if we didn't have a hole at Tackle and in a division with a million great pass rushers.

You know I really think Locker is going to be a really good QB. I don't know that he'll be on that elite level ever(he does have the tools), but considering how raw he was coming out, and all the areas he needed to work on, being brought along this way is doing nothing but making him a better QB. I wish more teams would adopt this strategy. Instead of throwing Locker out there and having him learn to rely on his legs primarily and run all over the place improvising, he gets to learn the ropes behind a saavy vet who can still play QB, and pick his brain for whatever that is worth.

Not only that but he gets to earn the job, and thus elevate his play along the way vs just them handing the franchise over to him from day 1. This is exactly what he needed to hone his skills properly, that offense is going to be electric really soon.

If you wanted Ben Ijalana, now is your chance. The Colts have Waived-Injured him. (Same thing the Giants did with Ballard when the Patriots swiped him.)

Two straight seasons missed with ACL tears is pretty bad, but if you're a pretty strong/deep team and can afford to use one of your 90 roster spots on him until the end of training camp (when you can put guys straight onto IR,) he might be a worthwhile pickup.

Ijalana may be worth a flier for a team with no strong prospects for their offensive line, but then again, doesn't that describe the Colts? Indianapolis' starting offensive line includes the likes of Joe Reitz, Mike McGlynn, and Winston Justice, and even before Ijalana's injury he was listed on Ourlads as a third-string left guard. The Colts invested a second-round draft pick in Ijalana in 2011, he's already been under the knife on five separate occasions since entering the league (including the two ACLs, as mentioned), and he slid inside from tackle to guard almost immediately.

I'm not holding my breath that he's going to develop into something. Being a backup on a team that thin on the offensive line and then getting cut in your sophomore season is very concerning for a second rounder; he either couldn't play in the first place, or injuries have completely derailed his career. It looks like those Vlad Ducasse comparisons weren't so far off after all.

At this rate all of the Texans starters will be banged up by the season opener.

Rookie LB Keenan Robinson was next in line behind Perry Riley and Fletcher. Very talented prospect, Goff was slated as depth from what I've been reading because he's never been fully healthy.

Kentwan Balmer is missing from Redskins camp and the team doesn't know where he is. His agent hasn't responding to inquiries regarding Balmer's whereabouts.

Shame about Ben. I was able to see him a couple months ago and he was pretty excited about getting back onto the field. He's a real good, bright guy and he works so damn hard. Back in high school, he was so raw that I didn't even expect him to blossom the way he did.

I really hope he goes somewhere, he's a good guy.

This guy was such a waste. Another bad pickup from the Mike Nolan/Singletary years.

That wasn't a Nolan pick though. That was a Scott McClueless gem. Nolan was a ****** coach but he could find talent when he had control over the draft. Scotty Mac on the other hand was a different story. That '08 draft was just awful. Balmer, Rachal, Reggie Smith, and Cody Wallace rounds 1,2, 3, and 4....ouch!

But the '07 draft was one of the franchise's all-time best. Hit and miss with McCloughan. He's certainly helping stockpile talent via the draft in Seattle.

From Espn's Sando on Bradford

"1. Can the Rams help Bradford? It's easy to forget that Bradford had two 300-yard passing games in his first five starts last season. The high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 6 changed the trajectory of his season. Bradford wasn't the only one hurting. The Rams suffered more losses to injury in a season than all but one NFL team since 2002, according to Football Outsiders. They had no chance."

"I wondered coming into camp whether last season inflicted irreparable damage to Bradford. That was not the case. There hasn't been a more impressive player on the practice field to this point. It's stunning, in retrospect, that a team with such a talented quarterback could suffer through a 2-14 season. So many things had to go wrong.

Day after day, play after play, Bradford impresses even the most seasoned observers. Receivers coach Ray Sherman, most recently with the Dallas Cowboys, has been around accomplished quarterbacks throughout his coaching career. The list includes Warren Moon, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Boomer Esiason, Randall Cunningham, Brett Favre, Steve McNair and Tony Romo. He used the word "special" to describe Bradford.

"His temperament is just so calm," Sherman said of Bradford. "He has a demeanor about him and Brett was like that -- when he spoke, guys listened. They tune in. They know, 'We take care of this guy, he's going to take us a long way. He's going to do some special things.'"

So now Vick keeps running his mouth. It's worse than last year when Young said they were a dream team. You'd think Vick had learned all his lessons.

Bradford will always look good in practice, no doubt about it. His issue(and always was IMO) was that when faced with pressure he got skittish, he doesn't always step into his throws when the pocket starts to collapse, and knowing what that offensive line looks like I don't expect much change.

Because he knows he won't be taking any contact. It's a little different when you know that's not the case..... besides the obvious factor of remaining healthy once the hits start coming.

that they could be a dynasty, i dont get what the big deal is...it was like 2 weeks ago and he didnt say they were one, just that they have the talent to be one, which i dont think is that farfetched (despite that being my worst nightmare in all of sports)
