They pay pony up cash for pitching this offseason. Their offense has great pieces that I'm surprised that even the slightest breathable life of a pitcher could win with that offense.
Fowler, Cargo, Tulo, Rosario, Colvin, Cuddyer all on the big club.

4th Pirate batter hit this series.
And another not so good call. Marte not even close to being tagged really.

He's 25, and he's pitching over his head.

Fair point, if you are in the Phillies FO would you ponder giving him a few MLB starts down the stretch over Vance Worley or Kyle Kendrick considering the Phils are in last place.

AJ Burnett is the CY Young in the NL at this point.

He'd probably be better than Kyle Kendrick, but that's not really saying much. Kyle Kendrick is horseshit.

I'm so glad the Twins were impressed enough with Tsuyoshi Nishioka's .601 OPS in AAA to give him another chance in the majors.
Why does this team refuse to cut their losses at any cost?

It's Clayton Kershaw or RA Dickey at this point, Burnett isn't close to those two. With how RA Dickey has pitched lately though, it's pretty clearly a repeat for Kershaw.
And please don't try to argue. Kershaw leads him in K/9, innings, BB/9, allows less homers, has the better ERA, has the better WAR, has the better FIP, etc. Burnett has a better record, that's it.

I really don't think he will be. I want him to be and think he should, but I don't think he will. He'll win Comeback Player of the Year, though.
Outside of one start, AJB has been dominant. Well, two starts.

I don't think its clear at all. I'd say guys like Strasburg and Cueto have arguments as well.

Cueto does probably, but I just assume they're shutting down Strasburg soon enough and he hasn't been dominant enough to win with having too few innings. It's not Burnett though.
