Well everyone wanted Chase Coffman in the draft a few years ago, Falcons signed him today. He has a chance to make the team if he has anything left in him.

I'm very worried about our line backing core.

Has anyone ever brothed this hard before?

I'm not. Dent was awful, but most of the time, we just had Nicholas and Spoon out there. Nicholas had the TE, Spoon the RB. All 3 of our CBs in.

This might sound *** but after seeing the rookie DE Massaqoui at the scrimmage the other night in Dalton. He has massive thighs and butt they aren't as big as Turner. But its in the same ballpark he really looked the part.

Game Thoughts:
- Our passing game looks damn good. Matt Ryan dominated a Bengals team that allowed under 50 yards total through the air last game. Roddy White was getting open, Tony Gonzalez was making grabs, Harry Douglas had a circus catch. Julio had one extremely impressive snag, and looked outstanding other than a close drop on his fade route. Can't wait to see this continue.
- Michael Turner continues to make me believe he's just about done. Not only is he not explosive, but he doesn't shed off the first tackler like he used too. Not only was Jacquizz a better option catching the ball today, but running as well. Still think Quizz continues to cut into Turner's touches.
- Bizarro day on the defensive side. Dunta had a nice pass breakup and a huge hit. Peria Jerry was doing pretty well creating pressure and tackling for loss. Even Ray Edwards looked decent out there (although he blew a sack).
- We got a taste of the bad Asante today. It's pre-season so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but he got burned on the double move by AJ Green.
- How impressive did LaMark Brown and Dominique Davis look? Loved seeing an athletic tight end on this team. Davis looked far better than JPW, and even better than Redman at this point. If he doesn't make the roster I'll be furious. On the flipside, I was disappointed with James Rodgers. I'm rooting for him to make the squad with his bro, but he dropped a couple crucial passes on that final drive.

I was very impressed with Domonique Davis. He could potentially be the 2nd string QB, but we will have to see more of him. So far very positive signs. Lemark Brown is breaking away as the 3rd TE.

Davis may have the talent to be the 2nd string, but they arnt taking that job from Redman, no way.
Were lucky to have a guy like Redman IMO, hes def a guy that if he had to come in for a game or 2 I wouldnt feel its an auto loss, Ive always liked him as a backup b/c hes calm and hes been there.

Yea I believe Davis will for sure take the #3 job. If he wins 2nd string, then Falcons will cut Redman, no way we keep him as a 35 year old 3rd stringer and have an undrafted rookie behind Matt Ryan. I can see in a year though. Davis could really be worth something if he plays like that.

I used to feel that way, but I think Redman's declined. He's pretty bad now, at least in my opinion. He should still be our #2, DD isn't ready for it, but hopefully he can slide into that spot soon (next year?), and we won't have to waste our resources.
I've always been a fan of having a #2 that is a threat to run. Doesn't have to be Cam or Vick, but the threat is nice.

Bengals game
- Passing attack still looks very good, Matt has a quicker release on his passes
- Starting O-Line still looks bad
- Mike Turner looks like hes at the end of his rope
- Peter Konz looks good, I can see him starting by week 4
- Peria Jerry looks like he maybe turning the corner this season.
- Our secondary still looks as if it's ''Bend But Don't Break''

Davis hasn't shown anything against good competition, Redman has. Even though I'd love to have him as the primary back up I think he should wait a year and be the 3rd string QB for now.
He has already won that job, but it will be interesting to see what happens if Redman struggles and Davis continues to impress in these final two games.

I still think we should hang onto Redman for now, but I love the potential of Dominique Davis in the future. We should let go of JPW and roll with Ryan, Redman, and Davis.

Redman def isnt as good as he was 2 years ago, but there are far worse backups in the league. I like DD alot, and think he can bring some athleticism to the position and easily move to the #2 spot next year, but going into the season Redman is the #2 guy.
Finally we can get rid of John Parker Pus sy. I hate him with a passion.

I respect Alabama football, hate their fans. And although I went to Auburn, Im a die hard Gator fan.
JPW just is not a guy I think should be on an NFL roster.
