I stipulate that I did not watch Summerslam and have only at best casually kept an eye on RAW recently.
With that said, I wonder where the company is headed. SummerSlam was once a staple PPV, and now with this year's version just taking place is that sentiment still holding true?
Both the WWE Title and the World Heavyweight Titles were defended and yet a "Brawl" between a basically retired performer and a guy who's own instabilities can never be trusted was the center stage. This constant trend of bringing back the likes of HHH, HBK, and The Rock harkens back to the day when those same men ranted and raved about the same thing being done to them.
Even as much as I personally love watching Chris Jericho back with the WWE, putting him over Dolph Ziggler seems shortsided.
Maybe I just got old and want what I had in my "day", ie the "Attitude Era".

I think the wwe is missing some well-built, long lasting rivals among superstars. These short lived, quick type of fights built just long enough for the coming pPv are weak.
Create history. Make historic feuds. Those are what made the fan of the attutide era so into what they saw. It looked and felt real
This company will never take the next step when CM Punk is continually overshadowed by the same guys. The show ended with HHH doing the george michael bluth sad walk up the ramp and not anyone who is relevant to today's WWE. For everything they do right (Cesaro getting US title) they seem to take steps back, equally.

That's the ticket right there.
But where are they? Randy Orton should be among the leaders of this company going forward, yet with multiple suspensions can they trust him?
CM Punk is in the midst of one of the longest title reigns in the company, yet lets face it we all know its only a matter of time before they give it back to Cena.
Ziggler, Bryan, Swagger (if we can even consider him anymore) are any of these guys going to be given the opportunity to shoulder the load?
Hell I'd even settle for the IC & US Belts being relevant and stepping stones again in the short term.

I don't understand the point of this comment. Cena is their most popular and marketable star. Should they never give him the title again?

Swagger was given an opportunity and he more or less failed. Bryan was giving a decent title run and is still a prominent feature of their shows. I'm not sure what your point is here either. Should they have had Daniel Bryan vs. Jack Swagger as the main event as Summerslam?

Yes, they've clearly given up on the idea that any of the belts matter other than the two world titles. That's unfortunate.
hate how they have so many wrestlers taking up several spots like Mark Henry, HHH, Christian, Mankind etc.

No, he wasn't. He beat Orton but then Big Show made him look like utter garbage.
He won MITB and then the world title. I'd say that's a decent push. Putting him as a heel against the Big Show as a face is probably not a good idea, since it made him look chicken ****. That said, he still couldn't draw that much heat.
I used to love Swagger, but I'm not sure what the argument is now that he's a main event type guy.
Im 10000% okay with HHH/Lesnar headlining over the WWE Title, especially a meaningless triple threat with Big Show involved. If it was just Punk/Cena, itd be more of a question, but Big Show's presence completely murdered my interest in that match, and killed any real hope of it being great. Plus, it adds to Punk's pursuit of respect, now he can ***** about not getting the main event slot when the WWE Title should always be the top match.
Anyhoo, what would you guys want to see from Lesnar? Lets assume he works Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania. What would you want him to do at each of those shows?

I would probably have Brock
Wrestle HHH at Survivor Series
Find a way to enter the Rock/CM Punk WWE title match at the RR.
Lesnar is currently a heavy favorite to win the Rumble and it would most likely set up Rock vs Brock at Mania. That would be alright I guess. Personally, I would love to see him face Taker at 'Mania for the streak and take on Punk at Survivor Series or join the RR match with Punk/Rock.
What I think would make for a good story is this: Lesnar has taken out both Shawn Michaels and Triple H already, breaking the arms of both. So now, he sets his sights on the third and final part of the "end of an era" threesome, The Undertaker.
Now, the one single match that I want above all others right now is Cena/Taker at WrestleMania, preferably in an I Quit Match to add drama as Cena NEVER quits. So I'd do the Lesnar/Taker match before Mania. If Taker were up to it (because who knows his status), id headline Survivor Series with Lesnar/Taker, with Brock going over.
From there, Brock goes on to the Rumble, where he is eliminated by Sheamus (who is no longer World Champion, Ziggler would be). Brock then absolutely murders Sheamus, costing him his chance at winning the Rumble. That leads to Brock/Sheamus at WrestleMania. I'm not the biggest fan of how Sheamus has been booked, but if theyre going to give him a super-face push, then you might as well go all in on it. Put him over Brock at WrestleMania and make yourself a new top guy.
That leaves the WWE Title, which Rock would win at the Rumble, preferably from Cena to get that inevitable rematch out of the way. Then id have Punk win the Rumble match and challenge Rock for the belt, beating him at WrestleMania to take his belt back.
Taker/Cena I Quit
Rock/Punk WWE Title
Sheamus/Lesnar
Those would be your top 3 WrestleMania matches, perhaps with Orton or a returning Jericho or maybe even Triple H to take on Ziggler and help get him to the next level with a World title defense. The only major problem I have with this is that Rock would be up 2-0 on Cena, but I suppose they could hook up for a third (and final) time at SummerSlam next year in some sort of gimmick match that sees Cena finally get the win.
So next week's Raw will have Daniel Bryan going to ANGER MANAGEMENT classes, and some kind of Punk/Lawler showdown. How very exciting. I hope it entertains the Social Media ambassador.
