I think that is obviously the case and I think you were right on the money as far as how you approached the day. There will always be a decent amount of people who don't deduce and follow the path of least resistance. This is why it is a good idea as mafia to be vocal and attempt to lead the town. I do not know who is evil so maybe I am wrong but I think both you and I know what happened. Good on you for summing up your suspicions in a post before you died. It is very easy to take a **** the town approach when lynched while good but that stance is reserved for chumps.
