Shh, let them build their hopes up. When he collapses on the national stage, and New York media eats him alive, we can finally enjoy it.

That was a beautiful strike. Too bad it was to the wrong person.

it's not like smith even made a play on the ball. He threw it almost directly to him.

Yeah. The throw was intended 10 yards up field. I'm not sure if the WR just ran the wrong route or if Tebow can't hit within 10 yards of an NFL WR more than half of the time.

I'm going with the latter.

Oh Sanchez, good thing you're pretty funny cause that way you might have a career as a comedian if you play yourself out of this league this year.

Kuechly is going to have so many tackles this year. He was everywhere.

The team believes that too and he's had a good preseason. He is one reason the Panthers passed on bringing back Shockey.
Panthers need to run the ball more successfully on first and second down than they did last night. Smith being out hurts, but being in 3rd and long nearly every time is worse. The run game is one part of the game preseason can't indicate other than individual ability.
Also, hold onto the damn ball.

I'd take Mark Sanchez as a backup.

If I'm a team that needs a QB, I'm going to get Sanchez and Clausen (both via trade) and let them play. Either one shows me something OR they get me the first overall pick!

On the replay of that Tebow pick, there were 3 other Panthers covering the receiver further down the field besides the guy who actually picked it off. There was literally a 0% chance of anything positive coming out of that play.

As long as certain teams continue to trot out the Gabberts and the KolbSkeltons, he's better than some starters too.

That was the worst combination of four plays possible. A horrible INT, two terribly inaccurate passes, and then a sack when he looks utterly lost in the pocket. I don't see how anybody can look at that string and think he is fit to be a 3d string QB, let alone a starter.

The Jets should offer Tebow for Clausen.
