Thanks a lot for the advice though, I'm going to add Ryan Williams right away.
Ok, so you should be fine putting mendy in that IR spot. There's no question he'll be listed as 'out' for at least week one. It's likely he's listed that way until week 5 when they return from the bye. IR him, add Williams and then decide if you want to do anything else from there.

3 QBs is OD. Even if Peyton gets injured, you'll still have a quality QB in FA since it's a 10 team league. It's not a forgone conclusion that Peyton's going to get injured anyway. Everyone thought MJD would get injured last season. And Vincent Brown's out for half the season.

Not at all costs, but I'm not touching him until round 3. Which means I'm not getting him. lol

There are very few examples of holdout RBs not suffering greatly. Given MJD's mileage and last year's workload, I just don't see any positive coming from his houldout.

Solid lineup, all the way around. I'm not sure there's much value in Manningham and carrying Brown half the season seems pointless. 180 players on rosters means there's probably better options on the wire than both of those guys.

I did another money fantasy league on Monday. It is my own personal one. Not too crazy about my draft, though I'm sure I've had worse. I had pick 11. 12 teams. 1 point PPR.

QB: Tom Brady/Josh Freeman
RB: Marshawn Lynch/Darren Sproles/Isaac Redman/David Wilson/Jonathan Dwyer
WR: Jordy Nelson/Vincent Jackson/Lance Moore/Denarius Moore/Kendall Wright
TE: Aaron Hernandez/Jermaine Gresham
K: Robbie Gould
DEF: Kansas City

Thoughts? As of right now, Lance Moore is my flex guy.

Did an auction draft last morning, 10 team league:

QB: Rodgers, Luck
WR: Dez, Lloyd, Desean, Titus Young, Crabs
RB: Foster, Turner, Bush, Jennings
TE: Graham, Daniels

Spent like 140 on Rodgers, Foster, Graham, and just went cheap everywhere else.

I really like that team. IMO that is definitely the best strategy for a Auctions draft. Get a 'Big 3' and then get cheaper players everywhere else.

Especially with wide receiver depth out there. I mean, I do not have the best receivers imaginable, but I paid about 35 bucks combined for my three starters, when someone like Nicks alone is going for 35 bucks.

Doesn't make sense to spend the money there early.

I really like this team. Depth isn't great but the starting lineup is.

I think it depends on league and roster sizes plus starting lineup. I'll let you know, as this year was my second year w/an auction league and I went with a mid-price team instead of blowing a huge chunk of the budget on a few studs.

Peterson was my big price @ $36 and everyone else was $29 or less. All the "big names" were $48-$56 (12 teams) so we'll see how it plays out. It's a big starting lineup, though.
QB / RB / RB / WR / WR / TE / F(R/W) / F(W/T)

My roster, for comparison's sake, is:
(PPR league, btw - no D or K)
QB: Rivers-$19 / Freeman-$1
RB: Peterson-$36 / Bradshaw-$19 / D.Brown-$2 / Dwyer-$1 / Gerhart-$10 / F.Jones-$1
WR: Nelson-$27 / Maclin-$29 / Bowe-$16 / Colston-$19 / M.Williams-$2
TE: Witten-$8

I'll probably have to drop someone (Dwyer/Jones?) for a TE for week one. Kendricks, most likely, but I kind of like the idea of starting Bennett against his old team in the prime time, Wednesday night season opener.

What do you guys think about this trade?

I get Jammaal Charles and Eli Manning
The other dude gets Brees and MJD

I'm tempted because of MJDs holdout. Who knows when he'll be back, and how he will perform?

My other RBs are DeAngelo Williams, Mikel Leshoure and Beanie Wells btw, so I am in dire need of a good RB who can play week one.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it's a standard format league, not PPR.

I'd say depends on how many teams are in your fantasy league/how many make the playoffs. And whether or not you have Rashad Jennings. If you have him don't do it.

If you don't have him, think about the long-term implications. For example I'm in one 10 team league where 8 teams make the playoffs. Since its almost guaranteed, keeping MJD would be smart because he will be back to normal by the fantasy playoffs no matter what and how he fares in the regular season doesn't matter as much.

But as general advice, you are trading two good players for two worse players, so it's not a good deal.

Just finished my big money league draft last night, sadly I couldn't be there for it so I had to trust my rankings:

QB: Ryan, Freeman(might pick up Russell Wilson if Freeman sucks and Wilson is even decent)
RB: CJ2k, Fred Jackson, Helu, DeAngelo, Best and Gerhart
WR: Julio, Green, Blackmon, Mike Williams
TE: Witten, Rudolph
K: Tynes
DEF/ST: Broncos

Thoughts? I looked at when I got these guys and who I would have taken instead and this is actually pretty close to what I would have done. Maybe would have avoided Freeman and Helu, but overall I think I did a good job setting my rankings.

Best is almost worth dropping at this point seeing as he is on the PUP and out until week 6 at least and trusting any Skins RB even as a 4th in your case is borderline senile .

Just dropped Helu for Cobb and Best for Jacquizz. Thoughts?

That's a 12 team, standard scoring league btw

I'm curious about the draft positions and if, as Heisman asked, you have Jennings.

I'd definitely consider taking that trade. I am, however, competely convinced that RBs who hold out right up to the start of the season are not worth the risk.

Best is toast. While I like Cobb and think he's a solid break out candidate, I'm not sure Helu should be dumped. Though I personally have zero interest in owning a Shanny RB, there is still value there even though it comes with massive headaches.

I don't have Jennings and I have crap depth at RB. My RBs are MJD, DeAngelo Williams, Mikel Leshoure and Beanie Wells. Leshoure is suspended for the first two weeks of the season as well. So I decided to accept the trade. It's a tough pill to swallow losing Brees, but I think that Eli can have an ok season as well fantasy-wise. And Charles should be a good upgrade to the unsure situation that MJD puts me in.

My team looks like this now, in at 12 team, standard scoring league(projected starters first:

QB: Eli Manning, Joe Flacco
RB: Jammaal Charles,DeAngelo Williams,Beanie Wells,Mikel Leshoure
WR:Demaryius Thomas,Marques Colston,Andre Johnson, Jon Baldwin, Rod Streater
TE: Jacob Tamme, Martellus Bennett
K: David Akers
DEF: 49ers Defense

I'm very happy with my WRs. My RB situation is obviously not ideal, but there's not a lot of great RBs out there this year, so a lot of teams are in the same position as me in that regard.

Not my best fantasy team ever overall, but I hope they can perform an ok season.

I like the trade.

I don't see any reason to carry Bennett and Streater, though. There should be better options available on the wire.

There is, but my waiver requests haven't gone through yet. Reuben Randle is available, and I'm trying to pick him up. Same with TE, I'm currently evaluating my options there.

Well I also just added Kendall Hunter to give me a little more depth at RB. The Redskins backfield just seems like any week it could be a new starter with Helu, Hightower, Royster and now Morris. The 9ers backfield is crowded too, but I just love Kendall Hunter and think Gore and Jacobs are done and he is a great receiver too.

Skins backs are basically off my boards. Not only could it be a new starter any week, but it could be a last minute scratch that gives you the gift of a goose egg. No, thanks.

Hunter is a nice add. I still think Gore's slide down the board is a bit premature, but I seem to be the only one.

Someone in my league drafted TRich in the middle of the second round. He immediately regretted it because of his injury but I said I would make a trade with him. He wanted Matt Forte.

The ****?

And the people in my 10 team league are so bad....

QB Peyton Manning/ Matt Ryan/ Matt Schaub
RB Chris Johnson/ Matt Forte/ Ahmad Bradshaw/ Donald Brown
WR AJ Green/ Percy Harvin/ Vincent Jackson/ Denarius Moore
TE Coby Fleener
K Robbie Gould
DEF Jets

This is a dynasty league, we carry over every player from each season and then have a rookie draft. What do you think of this trade?

My team (12 man league):

QB: Romo, Bradford, RG3
RB: Rice, CJ2K, Beanie, Ben Tate
WR: Dez, Steve Smith (CAR), Wayne, Sidney Rice, Lance Moore, Randle, Hankerson
TE: Pettigrew, Dickson, Winslow III

Standard scoring, .5 PPR, start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/W-R-T flex/K/DEF

The trade:

I receive:

AJ Green

I send:

Dez Bryant
Ben Tate

I'd be moving Tate/Dez to the guy who has Foster, he wants Tate as insurance for Foster. I am worried that I am leaving myself too open on RB with just 3 left on the roster (albeit very good ones), especially with how often Beanie is hurt

But I think AJ >>>> Dez in dynasty value so I am leaning towards taking it..

Thoughts? +rep for answers
