Nah, Joey's better than Chandler, although Chandler's great at saying what needs to be said. But Phoebe is so far superior to any of the other 5 that they effectively don't matter. This isn't a Robin, Lilly, Barney and Marshall, or Troy, Annie, Abed and Shirley, situation.

Phoebe was probably my least favorite of the 6. Ross and Rachel arent much better. I like Monica, and love Joey and Chandler. Chandler is king though.

I'm genuinely surprised you guys don't like Phoebe more. Joey, Monica and Chandler are all very close for me, but they're all way below Phoebs. She just says the best things. I've only just started season 4 though, so there's still a lot fo the show to go.

Shut up Brody, Ross is clearly the Ted of their group, both in terms of awfulness and their obvious similarities.

One, they don't treat Ross as the be all character who has all the morals and is the center of the show. Two, Phoebe is just obnoxious and annoyingly over the top. Three, we've spent like pages at a time discussing Dexter before, that is much worse Zak.

True. Having Ted be "the narrator" totally eliminates all of their similarities, like their behavior, professions, tastes, being the "looking for love" guy on the show, all those times I want to reach into my screen to slap them for reminding me of my arch friend. All that doesn't matter because Bob saget does a little narration at the beginning of each episode. Gotcha.

*shrug* I just crack up at most of the things she says, she also delivers the msot amazing lines on the show. Joey says some truly amazing things to, and Monica even less so, but the lines that crack me up the most are usually Phoebe's. Chandler I like because he's always there to deliver the obvious punchlines, but he doesn't hit the hits those other 3 do.

Can't argue with your third point.

I think it is perfectly acceptable to critique the show regarding the plot. You can't critique it as a show based on a book, you have to critique it as a television show. If things that aren't a problem with the book, translate into a problem in the television series, I have no problem with Brody saying as much.

And I like all of the characters. Even the ****** ones (Phoebe, Monica) bring something to the table. The entire group dynamic is good.
