Grand Rapids-bred boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather, who has been known to throw down some big money on sporting events, reportedly has wagered $3 million on Michigan's season opener against Alabama on Saturday night.

Mayweather is thought to have taken the 14 points U-M is getting as the underdog.

The information comes from the Twitter account of online betting website sportsbook.ag. Mayweather has not confirmed it, though, in the past, he has tweeted pictures of his winning bet slips.
