It'll be even more delicious cause at least Clausen was still young enough for people to believe that he could one day not suck. If Weeden leads them to first overall as a rookie, his career as a starter will be all but over.

Also, this board kind of had the same debate during the season with Bradford and Luck. Bradford could still very well end up being a legit qb but I definitely wouldn't have passed up the chance on Luck just because you already drafted Bradford 1st overall.

They also still owed Bradford a **** ton of money and could have made a lot of bank draft pick-wise by trading down. He was also only one year removed from being ORotY.

While Luck was a once in a decade type of prospect, the trade down might have been more reasonable.

Now, if Weeden plays so bad this year that the Browns end up with the #1 pick (or really, any pick high enough to draft an "elite" QB prospect,) they should do it.
