You guys had 4 extra days to practice. NOT FAIR !!!
Nah, but i think it should be a good game, Mike Sullivan told Schiano everything about Eli and certain ways to attack him. Hopefully it gives us an advantage like Gruden had vs the Raiders in the superbowl.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-long-snapper/
After the Raiders snapping debacle, the Bears are giving more work to their backup long snapper, and I'm sure other teams are as well.
I don't know why it wasn't happening in the first place. Give him a dozen or so snaps at the end of every practice. Wouldn't take more than 5 minutes and he would be more prepared in case he was called upon.
The Raiders backup long snapper hadn't long snapped since high school. But nah, he doesn't need to practice at all ever...

It's a nice thought, but it goes both ways.
Both Sullivan and Sheridan joined the Bucs through the Giants, so they're likely to have insight into what we're going to try to do, as well.
As I've said in the Giants forum, I expect the Bucs to lose, but I hope they'll keep it close. I'm ok with losses this season so long as they're not Raheem Morris-style blowouts. Keeping it respectable against the defending World Champions, even in defeat, is progress in my book.

i think the Giants SHOULD win just based on the talent differential, but I like where the Bucs are headed. Naturally with Schiano and Zuttah, but I think they could win the South next season.
yeah, look at that bold, irrelevant and futuristic prediction

How come the redskins and cowboys are the only teams with 2 straight road games to open?

I saw that Fred Jackson got hurt so I dropped Johnathan Stewart and picked up CJ Spiller in fantasy. Think that is a good idea?

The greatest idea. Panthers couldnt run Sunday, and Spiller is the lead guy now.

Looking forward to watching the Rams vs Redskins game. Rams looked impressive, defense looked very good against Detroit and sounds like the Rams probably should of won last week had the NFL not ****** things up with the Clock (which they apologized for)
And of course I want to see RG3. sUCH An exciting player.

In a survivor pool which should I take...
Indy over Minny
Cincy over Cleveland
Miami or Oakland.
Cincy is the better option but I am all for taking the weak teams beating up on other weak teams.

|
Unfortunately, CJ could be the single most untradeable player in the league.
Personally, I'd rather just keep Johnson anyway. He only had 4 yards rushing, but he quietly had 6 catches. He needs to be featured more in the passing game, especially when the OL is struggling, and him out of the backfield could be a great outlet for Locker to check down to.
I still wish they'd add a legitimate #2 RB. Ringer and Harper haven't really taken that mantle, and Reynaud is essentially a CJ clone. Take some carries away from CJ and give them to a guy who is more consistent, and then make those lost touches up to him via the passing game.
Britt is the great equalizer, though. CJ can lose yards on 1st or 2nd down, as long as we have Britt out there to make the play for the 1st down. Stoked to finally get him back this week.

Cincy over Cleveland is the only one I'd be comfortable with there. Cleveland is just so dead on offense it's painful to watch. The Eagles game, based on the talent gap, should have been a 30+ point blowout but Vick kept throwing to the guys in orange helmets...

I'm going with Cincy over Cleveland. Oakland should theoretically beat Miami, but they just looked so comically bad the other night.

It's just a good rule of thumb to never, ever, ever, ever under any circumstance EVER trust the Raiders.

Tyron Smith fined $15k+ for his TD saving horse collar tackle.
That's always going to be the problem with that rule. If your only options as a defender are to horse collar the guy or let him score a TD, you're going to horse collar him.

I just sent in my survivor pool pick. I was leaning towards Cincy over Cleveland, but I looked at the FootballOutsiders DVOA numbers (which are worthless this early in the season), got spooked, and went with NE over Arizona.
I'm in a single-elimination pool that's usually almost done by mid-season, so I'd rather take the low hanging fruit the first few weeks and then start picking the second and third tier teams when we know whether or not they're actually decent teams.

Talent differential? Bucs have talent. It's just they're still not there yet. Their inexperience will show in this game but I know the bucs are on the right track. Still a year away but I say the giants win this one close but get a scare.

This - if we score, it's going to be a defensive touchdown of some sort, or, we force a turnover while Cinci is deep in their own territory and we move the ball 4 yards on 3 downs and kick a field goal.

Sorry for thinking the defending super bowl champs have more talent than a team that just picked top ten. How dare I?!?
Never said you didn't have talent, if you've been paying attention, I've done nothing but really compliment the bucs.
