At this point, it really does feel like one of the Brewers and Phillies are getting in. The next few weeks are gonna be crazy.

BB, looks like you're going to get one out of this series. A's absolutely folded in that inning.

Orioles... wow.
They are temporarily standing in the first place alone. Yanks better not lose.

The Phillies or Brewers are winning it. The other 3, especially the Cards had their chances. They ****** it up. YODA RAGE!

I was stoked when they brought Jesse Chavez in.
Angels absolutely needed that game. They now must sweep one of their remaining series most likely
They also need to hope one of the O's or Yanks finishes with 10 wins at BEST and ideally go even worse than that. Not looking good

Rangers are the only team in the AL that's basically guaranteed in. Too much murkyness.

That's going to be really really tough.
Baltimore and New York have 19 games left. Angels have 18 games left. Angels are 3.5 back of the 2nd spot and 4.5 back of A's.
Angels would have to go 13-5 the rest of the way and the Orioles or Yankees would have to go 10-9 in order for a tie.
Now if Baltimore is the WC, then the Angels have the head to head. But if the Yankees are the WC, New York has the head to head. Tampa Bay also holds the H2H over the Angels if the Rays happen to match the Angels moving forward.
Angels have 6 against the Rangers, 6 against the Mariners and 3 each against Chicago and KC.
If Angels even split the 6 against the Rangers, they have to go 10-2 against Seattle, KC and Chicago. That would be very tough to do.
Angels are really behind the 8-ball after going 1-3 this series. Based off the remaining schedule and the WC leaders, a sweep today definitely would have been the equivalent of knocking in the 8-ball.

They'd get to 91 wins if they win all of their remaining series(with a sweep mixed in against KC or SEA most likely)
it's feasible but I'm not expecting it. VEry annoying season by this team. Rarely have they been on the same page. When the offense was dominating, the pitching was horrendous, when the offense stunk, the pitching was great.

It is good thing that it did not occur inside the stadium otherwise security would be out of control.

Larry Bowa to interview for Astros' job? Does it mean Astros would open wallets if he was hired?
