If we're taking a quarterback TODAY then I'm taking Stafford.

To be fair, Freeman has not had any weapons to work with. Went 10-6 in 2010 with a below average coaching staff, 2 Rookie WRs, and a horrid defense and still threw for 3400 yards 25 tds and 6 ints completing 61% of his passes. I've been Freeman's biggest critic, but when you watch last year, he still completed 64 % of his passes. Yes it wasn't good, but the whole team and staff didn't do squat.

I hate to go to this situation because yes, I'll get criticized because I'm a Bucs fan, but Sanchez, for the past 3 years, clearly had the better team around him and hasn't done squat.

This year, Freeman's got some weapons and a better staff. Still adjusting to a new system, but clearly, if you've watched him, already looks very good.

And don't give me post-season success. It's not like he played well either. If he did, the Jets would be in the Super Bowl. I mean Trent Dilfer won a ring and no one thinks he's better than the guys that played in his ERA who didnt.

Correct, but i wouldn't necessarily be disappointed to end up with my choice of Newton, RG3 or Luck.

This league has some VERY GOOD young QBs. I like it. More competition in this league and very few bottom feed teams and qbs.
Freeman over RG3 and Luck?

I don't think he's listing them in any particular order, just naming the guys that are young and good right now.

This was not a rankings. Listing the qbs. Notice how I don't number any of them? Sheesh.

Bradford was a beast today. One bad pass when he didn't see MLB Fletcher b/c Fletcher was hidden behind another player in the endzone. Other than that, pretty flawless game.

Also, RG3, wow. He single handed kept the Redskins in the game.

That's typically the quarterback's job.

Throwing 1 TD, running for 2 TD's and scrambling for 1st downs like he does isn't typical. The kid is special.

Bradford played extremely well but for me to change my mind about him he needs to consistantly improve and have more games like this.

I like RG IIIs performance so far but he's going to have to eventually adjust to a more pro style offense. I see a lot of what he ran at Baylor and that's fine. You make your qb comfortable as much as you can. But it only works for a short period of time.

Gotta see how he adjust but I love how hes throwing the ball.

Don't look now but Muslim Ponder leads the league in completion percentage, and Chief Grand Cherokee is 5th

It's definitely disconcerting how poorly Stafford has been playing so far. From what I've seen though, he's getting absolutely zero support from his running game and his offensive line. You cannot win games at the NFL level without at least the threat of a run game, and I don't think Kevin Smith is striking fear into the hearts of DC's everywhere.

As pretty as Bradford's stats were yesterday and as impressive as he was in the clutch, he still doesn't throw more then 10 yards down the field. It's upsetting how conservative that offense is. I saw them complete 4 or 5 passes yesterday for sub 3 yard gains.

Bradford is 6th in yards per attempt.

********. The packers raped the regular season last year without even the hint of a running game, the Peyton Manning colts did the same thing for years, while the giants and pats just met in the superbowl without being able to even pretend to run the ball. Running the ball makes life on a QB easier, but without it truly elite QBs can still succeed and flourish.

Giants may not have run it effectively during the season but they did run te ball well in the playoffs. Something the packers didn't do.

You do need to run the football effectively in this league.

With the Rams crappy o-line and limited weapons, the Rams have to play conservative. Last year, McDaniels tried to open it up and they nearly got Sam killed. The o-line can't block for a 7 step QB. The receivers aren't good enough either. The Rams have 4 #1 picks these next 2 years, so maybe if they address the o-line they will be able to open things up a bit. But for now, it's going to stay conservative.
