I've said that after drinking a few times and have had mixed results:

A) My face met the five fingers rather rudely
B) She said "I don't know, are we?"
C) An incredibly awkward moment that lead to absolutely nothing but further awkwardness in future encounters.

Definitely worth a shot if you don't give a ****.

Me and my girlfriend broke up about 3 weeks ago we dated for a few months. But have known each other for several years before that. Long story she just wasnt the right person for me and since we are about 30 I went ahead and ended it.

We have remained friends something I'm really glad happened as I didn't think it would be possible. She has kids that got really attached to me and would say things like " I don't want him (there dad) to be my dad I want you to be".

We have hung out several times since we broke up and this is fine for me bc I'm over her and I enjoy the company. I don't think she wants to get back with me either.

We have kissed and made out since and she has used the L word to me. I'm trying to avoid anything sexual bc I know thats just not smart. But at the same time I was attracted to her sexual more then anything.

The biggest thing was way to much fighting/arguring pretty much on a daily basis. My personality is very laid back and easy to get along with and she was the oppsite which has to due with health reasons. Like for example we once got into a argument bc I got her a straw at wendy's. It was a side of her I never saw until we started dating serious.

I really dont think she wants me back even though I know it sounds like she does on paper. Either way I dont wanna get back in a realtionship with her.

My personal belief is that there must be an underlying connection between you two that is unbreakable. Doesn't matter what happens between you two, you both feel it and it makes the relationship special. If you don't have this with her, then get away from her quickly. Being with her would just be a way to fill time until you find someone you do love and you're going to kill your emotions, hers, and her kids.

That connection is up to you. No matter what, it requires a lot of work. You can't booty call or half ass it with kids around. Whether they admit it or not, everyone wants a fairy tale ''normal'' life. She wants a husband and the kids want a father. If you can't do it, then run now.

For the sake of those kids you should stop coming around. I can understand not wanting to deal with someone that picks fights. But it isn't fair to those kids to keep their hopes up when you have no interest in really being a part of their lives. And the only real, reasonable way you would be a part of their lives is as their stepdad/mom's boyfriend. Your current situation, "friends" that occasionally make out (eventually you will have sex again if you keep up this behavior) is untenable.
