Thank God, Everton absolutely deserved that goal. It should be 4-1 right now. Either way, so long as they can keep the lead I think they will be content with three points either way.

Newcastle played a good game, and obviously they had nothing to do with the disallowed goals. That being said, Everton scored two legitimate goals that were disallowed, the game should have ended 4-2. I know the only people I should be pissed at are the refs, but the fact that they walked away with a point when they did not earn it just rubs me the wrong way. I think if ever try to make myself root for them in the near future I am just going to remember this game.

That's awesome. I really hope they make it through to the knockout stages.

What a glorious game to come home to after work! Everton got shafted for sure, but hey, I'll take the point!
Toon fought back hard and looked much better with 2 strikers......I don't get it really, I do think we need both strikers on the pitch though.

BTW, while the Demba Ba halftime sub really stands out, another key move was switching Anita and Perch. I know Anita wants to play in CM, but he just looks soooo much better at RB. He's just not quite up to a central role physically yet imo. I hope he stays in the squad at RB though when Tiote is back.
Our best lineup is probably...
................Krul....................
Anita....Colo...Saylor...Santon
...............Tiote...................
..HBA...........Cabaye...Jonas
............Ba........................
................Cisse.................
Maybe:
.................Krul....................
Anita.....Colo...Saylor....Santon
........Tiote..........Jonas...........
...............Cabaye..................
....HBA......................Ba.......
................Cisse...................
I just don't think you can play Ba out wide now as he's the hot striker.

Ba needs to watch what he's saying. Acting like a little girl when you get put on the bench isn't the way to go about things.

This is the first non Newcaslte game i've been excited for since Man U vs Man City last season. The best teams from the two best leagues.

So Nastasic gets his first cap for City today...should be fun.
No Ramos, Ozil, Modric or Coentrao for Madrid makes me happy. Both teams rolling out pretty similar 4-3-2-1 formations by the looks of it unless Yaya is playing CAM.

Casillas
Arbeloa-Varane-Pepe-Marcelo
Khedira-Alonso-Essien
Di Maria-Ronaldo
Higuain
vs.
Tevez
Nasri-Silva
Barry-Toure Yaya-Garcia
Clichy-Kompany-Nastasic-Maicon
Hart
These lineups match up almost perfectly on paper haha.

Looks like Arsenal learned how to score over the international break.

Yaya stride is so dangerous. Spurts like that are not enough, though. Real is taking it to us, Joey is holding strong. Getting a little better in the past few minutes. Still not much work from the guys up front.
