The flex eliminates the discussion about benching Peterson, which is nice.
TE is close but Nicks being out and it being a prime time game push me towards Bennett.

i wouldnt like starting 3 players on thursday night personally, and i think dez could be primed for a big day...plus the opportunity for return yards

Agree with Bennett. Im just finding hard to bench Dez against a poor secondary, he has the ability to have a massive game that LaFell just doesn't have. But then again, LaFell is going against a DREADFUL secondary, so its a tough one.
p.s. Im going against the best team in the league, i'm 0-2, and he's 2-0...i must win! lol

It's always hard to bench the guys you draft in the top 6 rounds. That doesn't really have much impact on whether or not it's the right move, though. While I agree Bryant has a great matchup and all-world talent, I think you're selling LaFell short. He's a 3rd year WR primed for a huge breakout season. His stats through 2 games suggests he's well on his way to doing exactly that.
Both matchups are stellar. One has limited competition for touches (Smith is banged up and Olsen is option 3) the other is his QB's 3rd favorite target (possibly 4th behind Murray?) heading into week 3.
Remove the names.
rushing: 1/25
receiving: 9/155/1 - 13 targets
23 total fantasy points (standard scoring)
rushing: 0/0
receiving: 7/102/0 - 12 targets
9 total fantasy points (standard scoring)
Which WR do you start?
Ultimately, it's up to you. I do think Dez is a great start this week (especially given your return yardage scoring - assuming Dez gets those touches) and completely understand you having a tough time pulling him.

That, my man, is understandable. Last week I was more than happy to tout the big prime time numbers we'd see from Cutler / Marshall / Forte and backed that up by starting them in combination across many of my leagues.

I'm still contemplating benching peterson for McGahee.
Here is what the rest of my Line up looks like this week:
Cam Newton: QB
Marshawn Lynch: RB
Willis McGahee: RB
Victor Cruz: WR
Stevie Johnson: WR
Jermichael Finley: TE
Brandon Lafell: WR/RB
Blair Walsh: K
Arizona: DEF/ST
Bench:
Ben Tate
Pierre Garcon
Adrian Peterson
Aaron Hernandez
Andy Dalton
Ravens DEF
Any changes anyone would make? I was thinking about benching Cruz and putting Lafell as my WR2 spot and the Peterson in my flex?

niners are stout against the run but peterson is gonna get his touches and he'll probably put together a respectable stat line. id probably start him over lafell...again 3 players in the thursday night game is rough (or spectacular?) but id lean towards not doing it

I have a good feeling that Lafell is going to monster game. I have a feeling the vikings are going to be playing from behind most of the game and i don't feel like Peterson is going to get a lot of touches.

the lions refused to abandon the run last week and they arent nearly as good at it as the vikings, i think they will stick with the run game and try to keep it close and keep ponder effificient.
go with your guy though, i dont really see lafell as a "monster game" type of guy, just kinda solid middle of the pack

I am still in agreement that benching Peterson is a good idea. McGahee has a better situation (even if Peyton looks like ****, he & Thomas will still open up more field than Ponder & Harvin) and you're likely right that San Fran will be scoring forcing Minnesota into a game of catchup.
Also in agreement on Lafell. Benching Cruz is a very interesting idea. Bad matchup against a good Panthers pass D. Eli put up just over 200 yards then over 500 and this week's stat line could be anywhere in betwee. The Panthers run D is not good but the Giants run game may not be able to take advantage of that.
Ultimately, I think the Panthers offense is playing well and the game should be high scoring. Cruz should get his. It's really a very difficult choice b/c you're benching a stud you drafted in the top 4 rounds, either way.

I'm going to leave it as is. I'm 2-0 in this league and the points leader. Not all fantasy seasons are perfect!
edit: 5k posts woo!

How about me benching AD or Alf Morris and starting LaFell in the flex?
QB: Cam
RB: Matthews
RB: AD/Morris
WR: Wayne
WR: Bryant
FLEX: LaFell

I'd bench Peterson in that lineup, assuming Mathews is a full go all week.

WFT? Someone held him the entire time and then dropped him once he finally made it back to practice?

If there's anyone that can shred a studly rush D, it's Peterson. I have him in two leagues. One has zero depth behind him. Bad enough depth, in fact, that I'm starting LeShoure alongside him. The other is going to be one that comes down to Sunday . . . Peterson / Donald Brown / Andre Brown . . . only two can start but it's PPR so I may sit Peterson for Donald come Friday.

Matthews is gonna be a beast in PPR leagues. He is 10x more talented than the other RB's on the chargers, and look how many balls they have caught in the last 2 weeks.
