I think the game will be a lot closer than a lot of people think, but I do think the Lions come out on top by a score or two. I'm going to go with a 27-17 final.
Rams are just to inexperienced that I think they'll make some mistakes that will ultimately cost them the game. I do however expect a solid game from Jackson and Bradford.
The only hope we have is if our offense keeps Stafford and Megatron on the sidelines as long as possible and when they are on the field, Chris Long and Robert Quinn turn their beastmode up.

Apparently the Lions will start Bill Bentley and Jacob Lacey at corner, with Drayton Florence in the slot. That should give the Rams' questionable receivers at least a decent chance of having an impact, if the offensive line can hold up against tough defensive opposition.
But I think that's easier said than done. My guess is Jackson will get his yards, but the Lions' defensive line will probably pressure Bradford enough to make him uncomfortable and challenge his effectiveness. Furthermore, I don't think the Rams have an answer on defense for the Stafford/Megatron connection.
I see a win by Detroit by a double-digit margin, but I think Rams fans will come out on the other side with some positives to build on for the season.

Disappointing loss today, but at least the Rams were in it. Offense needs to make more plays, and the defense needs to improve against the run and learn how to cover the tight end. Still, there were some bright spots and the fact that they were competitive right down to the end was great.

Anyone hear about the clock error that the officiating made? could (not saying did) of cost us the game. Kind of disapointing.

LOL at people in the pro football forum saying they'd take Larry Grant over James Laurinaitis.

So Rodger Saffold may be a go for this week. That would be huge, with Rok and Wells out, we coul dreally use a healthy Saffold in there.
Don't rush him back though!

I think Fisher will be smart with all this, and even though it's not a concussion but a neck injury does he still have to go through the very strict process that concussion injuries have too to be cleared for a game? (Tangent...If not, doesn't that seem like a pretty big whole in the rule?)
Either way if he's healthy this is big not only for this game, but for Bradford getting more comfortable with the protection from his blindside week-in-and-week-out.

Just watched the game. Had work today, So I couldn't see it live.
- One thing that I love is how we are already taking on the attitude of our head coach, and I absolutely love it. Ever since the greatest show on turf left us, the Rams have been pushed around by teams way to much, love that we aren't taking that **** anymore. I remember how scrappy and annoying those Tennessee teams were back when the Rams would play them 1999-2001.
Bradford keeps improving and I can't wait to see what this offense looks like when Quick and Givens get more involved in the passing game, could be really fun to watch, and hopefully people on these forums will realize that Sam is good.
We need Darian Stewart back as soon as possible, Craig Dahl is horrible.

Steven Jackson didn't practice yesterday. Richardson could again see a significant role this coming week vs the Bears. Lets hope he can take advantage of his opportunity.
Wayne Hunter vs Julius Peppers gives me nightmares.

Yeah, that was a tough game to watch.
Offense was horrid, and it started up front with the line. We saw the return of dropped passes, and after being beaten up a bit, Bradford regressed to bad habits.
The defense played well enough, but Chicago didn't get the memo to play soft zones and allow Danny Amendola to run wild. He was the Rams' best receiver in this game, and was essentially a non-factor for most of it. Running game was awful.
We entered this season with concerns about the offensive line and questions about whether the Rams had done enough to add weapons for Bradford. I'm starting to wonder if we'll finish the season with the same areas of concern going into the offseason. Hopefully the line tightens up and the offense get some more contributions outside the hashes from the receivers.

Well, got the win at least. Had enough offense to win the game, but the lack of scoring for the O is still a concern. Last weeks first half run defense problems showed the head again though, today was ridiculous at times.
Greg Zuerlein, pretty special start to a career, his FG's are just unreal. So impressive.

I'm just happy with the make shift blocking we had. Bradford only got sacked twice, while I was thinking 5-6 would be optimistic. I only caught the second half because I was traveling on Sunday but what I saw wasn't nearly as bad as the two two-three weeks. Either way, gotta love a win!

Rams vs Cardinals Thursday night!!
Hopefully our O-Line can hold up. If Dockett is back, I fear Sam Bradford's life.
I'm interested to see if Bradley Fletcher can continue his outstanding play this season. I don't know how many people consider him a shutdown, or heck really even a good cornerback, but when he's healthy, he's a borderline shutdown guy.

4) Listening to an analyst explain that the "other team" needs to make something happen with the passing game because the Rams are not allowing them anything on the ground.
5) A group of no-name linebackers who are ready to make things happen and show up with some aggression on Sundays.
6) A solid secondary that creates turnovers and sacks.
7) An overall revival of excitement and enthusiasm.
Obviously these things will not all occur from day 1, nor will they happen with regularity or consistency throughout the season. I am not expecting us to be a playoff team. But I am excited to see these things start to happen and give us a strong foundation to build upon.

I wrote this before the season. After the first quarter of a season, let's analyze it...
1) Bradford still goes to Amendola too quickly, but he is getting some key receptions from others. Little by little he appears to be developing a more well-balanced mindset.
2) While we all thought Pead would be the backup RB this season, I am very excited about Daryl Richardson, who is on pace for 500 yards rushing an a couple hundred yards receiving. A nice start for a young change-of-pace back.
3) The offensive line still worries me, and has dealt with several injuries. I am very pleased with the level of energy and effort from this group, though, and for the first time in a really long time I am confident that, in the long run, they will become a strength of the team.
4) The Rams have been very inconsistent against the run. They haven't been gashed too much by long runs; rather, teams are simply having success 5 yards at a time. Opponents are running the ball an average of 32 times a game the last three games. We need to shut down the run early and discourage opponents from going back to it. I would like to see opponents run the ball 25 times or less.
5) Dunbar has been very active, and Laurinitis, has been his usual dependable self. Overall I would like to see more aggression against the run and better work getting off of blocks.
6) The secondary has 6 int's thus far, which is a great improvement. However, we only have 6 sacks thus far as well. We are 11th in the league in passing yards allowed. This tells me that the secondary is doing its job, and we just aren't getting any pressure on the QB even when our coverage is there. We have no sacks from outside the DE position.
7) We have more excitement than I can remember in a LONG time.
Overall, I must say that I am pleased with the direction we are heading in, and things are moving along faster than I thought they would. I predicted 5-6 wins at the beginning of the season. I now thing we could win 7 or 8.

I think the run defense will improve the more Brockers gets comfortable in the system. Remember, last game was his first game of the season. Same with sacks.
And our corners are doing their jobs. But, our safety play is pretty terrible.

Rams have voided the last year of Steven Jackson's contract. Could mean bye bye to Mr. Jackson at the end of the season.
Does this mean hello Marcus Lattimore or Knile Davis? two guys I would love to see in Horns!

You like Daryl Richardson as an every down running back? and Pead hasn't even seen the field.

I don't think you waste a 1st on a RB simply not where the value is(unless it's an elite RB like AD or Richardson)
I ******* love your DL, well 3/4 of it anyways, once Brockers is back...my god. I can easily see everyone in the division winning 7 or more games and I personally think you have a better overall team than the Seahawks
