Richard Sherman is one of the best CBs in the league.
Kam Chancellor is probably the best SS in the league.
Chris Clemons is an elite pass rusher.
Alan Branch is a very good run stuffer.
But K.J. Wright is probably the most underrated. Just a great all-around football player.

robert ayers. solely because everyone still seems to think he's still just as terrible as he was in a 34. he's not great. but he's a perfectly good rotational DE in the 43.

Brooks or Tarell Brown. At least as far as being "underrated" goes.

That's Jermaine Cunningham for us. So far, at least.

Jabari Greer. Has quietly been our best defender since he's been here. One of the better corners in the league, but so under the radar. Does get hurt a lot though.

Hard to be underrated on the Cowboys, but I'd probably say Anthony Spencer. He's been inconsistent in the past but he's been balling through the first 3 games. I've noticed that when Anthony is on his game our defense plays great, and when he's off our defense looks incredibly average. I just hope this isn't a flash in the pan streak like it was back in 09, I want this version of Spencer to stay.

Chris Culliver would have been my second selection.

Carlos Dunlap for us. People don't realize what a force he us. He came back for week 3 against the skins and just completely changes the complexion of the defense.

I feel like the terms best and elite are being ver loosely used here. Clemons has 5 sacks on the year, 4 came in one quarter. While its impressive, he seems to get sacks in bunches and stays quiet for a while after. Thats not elite to me.
For the Packers, Im going Jeron McMillan. He's a rookie but he's played very, very well. Or Sam Shields/Ryan Pickett.

I came here to say just this. He had a rep as a brutal cover and maybe deserving so but he's been used perfectly here (playing next to #20) to the point where I really believe he's been one of the better strong safeties in the league over the last 1.2 seasons. And like coordinator said, his attitude and make up are perfect for this team.

Kendrick Lewis. So many people talk about Hali, Berry, Flowers etc. But Lewis seems to be the guy who gets everyone lined up.Lewis is vastly underrated and his precense (or lack thereof) is showing so far this year

I was going to go with JHou, but after his 3sack/safety game last week I don't think he is as underrated as he once was. He has 4 sacks on the year and is starting to become more known to the casual fan.
Kendrick Lewis is a good pick though. He, more than anyone, is who lets RAC run his defense the way he wants to run it. Without him Berry is a lot more limited in what he can do because RAC doesn't trust Abe Elam as much.

I think I'd go with Gerald McCoy. Gets a lot of negative press because of the injuries, but he has been an absolute machine this season, as evidenced by his 3 sacks, constant pressure and anchoring the D-Line. Our run defense is infinitely better when he is on the field.

Before he got put on the IR Adam Carriker. Most view him as a bust but since joining the skins in a 34 he has been a beast against the run and more solid creating pressure than he's given credit for. Losing him was a massive blow.

I doubt the new Rams regime would have released him. Very stupid of the Spags regime to. Glad that page of history has turned.

Richard Sherman is on everybody's underrated list. You were seeing his name a lot on Pro Bowl snubs list last year as people were saying the best DB in the Seahawks secondary didn't go to the Pro Bowl. At this point, pretty much whenever you watch a Seahawks game the commentator will say, "You know... RICHARD SHERMAN MIGHT BE THE BEST OF THE BUNCH!" So I don't know if he's underrated, or right about where he should be.
Kam Chancellor might be the best safety in the league for our defense. Lets just leave it at that. He does a lot for us.

I'm siding with this. Chris Clemons has never been a player to get a lot of tackles. What he is is fast. He just comes bending over the edge on every play, and since Pete Carroll has let him do that a lot over the past few years, there have been a lot of situations where the sack is there for a fast player to take. He's another player I like a lot in our defense, but think he's probably worth more here than just about anywhere else.
But KJ Wright is probably the most underrated player on our defense. Everyone talks about the secondary and the line, but KJ Wright had a very good rookie year last year and his play was the reason Aaron Curry was traded. He's really taken on a strong role now in his second year, and he's really big and fast and has a lot of range. Already has 25 tackles through 3 games, and he's playing on one of the league's stingiest defenses, so that really tells you a lot - Seattle is stopping offenses in their tracks, and KJ Wright is responsible for a large portion of that.

I remember the Saints getting ripped apart by draft reviews for taking him in the 3rd. I know it's not saying much but besides Jordan, he looks like our best D-lineman. He's gonna be good.

Greenway for us, no doubt in my mind. I've never seen his name get a mention when people discuss the best LBs in the league but I'd absolutely have him in that group. Guy is genuinely elite for mine.

I'm not sure there's a real answer for the Eagles. Maybe Kendricks if he plays well and isn't recognized for it..otherwise, maybe Kurt Coleman? Would probably be one of the first starters you'd upgrade but has never really been a liability...Derek Landri has also been very good and actually might be the best answer for Philly..Honorable mention to Philip Hunt who doesn't get much recognition for just making it this far and still occasionally flashing.
