There's plenty of blame to go around on that... Like I said... leadership is a problem around these parts.

Peyton Manning has a better rapport with his Denver WRs than Romo has with his Cowboy WRs.
Austin. He goes to work everyday. When he was the #1 he produced big time. Team won games. Remember 2009?? The year we won a playoff game?

Next year, what does Jerry do after he finds AUstin, drafts Dez instead of shoring up the OL that year which he should have done.

The fancy new toy Dez showed up and Jerrah has a hard on so ..... offense goes to crap because now a weak minded QB has a weak minded #1

Pretty sure this forum is sick of the Cowboys talk. I don't believe the sky is falling in Dallas, but I'm probably naive. G'night ya'll.

Yet coming off 2009, Jones drafts ... Dez Bryant. At least they got Sean Lee.

Jerry does draft talented players, Felix Jones is a turd but he still has had some games where he has been dangerous...well most of those games were probably against the giants...fml

The biggest problem with THIS team is the arrogance that we had going into FA that we could sign these mediocre players and have our coaching staff turn them into a cohesive unit. Our coaching has been mediocre at best and the talent we acquired has been very well below average. That's my biggest concern right now, our offensive line is straight garbage.

YES. We F'd up FA by ignoring to sign better FAs on the OL.

We signed Livings and my Bengals coworker laughed at my ass while my forum friends said, give him a chance. When I mentioned that we also signed Bernadeau at the lunch table, everyone said... WHO???? hahahahah. That's the harsh reality of it. We dreamt of a lot of FA O-Linemen during all our fancy mock offseasons, but NONE OF US saw those weakass signings coming.

I thought for sure, they were signed for depth considering how cheap they were. So we continued the mock drafts with all kinds of OL talent throughout the rounds. Here we were in our little Cowboys discussion thread talking up all these wonderful scenarios...Kevin Zeitler! Phillip Blake! Brandon Books!... only to see the Cowboys muff it up on draft day. They cashed in on Claiborne and called it a day... basically threw the rest of the draft away.

This is an expected mess.

You don't luck into building a team that wins 3 SBs in five(?) years. Hitting on Aikman was fortuitous, but selecting Emmitt Smith in the mid first when many talent evaluators thought he lacked the tools to dominate in the NFL was brilliance on Jimmy Johnson's part.

JJ built that team piece by piece, switching college LBs to safety, mining lower level college football conferences for elite talent, putting together the best coaching staff in the game, etc.

The Walker trade was a pure poker move, many in Dallas at the time were upset that Jimmy was willing to trade their BEST player and leave the franchise lacking a top RB.

I don't like Dallas but you have to get the history right.

Jimmy brought a philosophy from college that was innovative at the time in the NFL; always choose athleticism and speed over just size when building a defense. Jimmy Johnson had LBs and Dlineman many NFL experts thought were too small to be effective in the pros. They were wrong.

Plenty of other coaches would NOT have been successful in the situation handed to JJ, because what JJ did was unique to the experience and talent he himself had as a coach and talent evaluator.

Apparently that message on Rob Ryans sheet was wishing Pagano well.

Edit: Here is a better sized one then

unnecessarily huge picture apparently.
