True... I guess I mostly mean to be back to where I feel like we should be, I hadn't felt like we could make the Final Four since '99 (our good teams got wiped out early in the tournament - UAB and Bogans getting hurt then losing to D Wade). That's not something Duke/UNC/Kansas etc. fans felt. Still, your statement is probably true.
Call has his connections but at this point if people think he'd risk his head paying players I think they're crazy, mostly because there's a lot of honest reasons why players would pick Kentucky.
I will say I'm worried about having all this NBA talent on campus and a player finally giving in to an agent/runner. The risk you take I suppose.

Anyone know of any promising assistant coaches out there?
They can have a team that forced NIT champion Stanford into overtime returning everyone!
Also, good luck Coach Jankovich you left the program better than when you found it. Congrats on cashing in.

Orlando Antigua (was considered for Duquesne) and Kenny Payne (was considered by Mississippi St.) for Kentucky are big ones. Antigua is a big time recruiter and Payne really connects with the players (3 of the 5 mentioned him when they announced going pro).

Disagreements? It gets a little more fluid after 11.

No real issues, but I don't see how you can leave UCONN out of your top 10.

I also feel like Georgetown is a good job to have or underrated and then Wake and Tech as well.

Tubby Smith signed a contract extension through 2017. He hasn't lived up to expectations, but the Gophers could be real good next year, and it'd be nice if he could retire here.

Harrison twins pick between UK or MD on Thursday. Julius Randle is now down to UK, UF, KU, TX, NCSU & OU.

Problem with my beloved Hoyas is facilities. They easily have the worst of any major D1 basketball program. No training facilities. A decrepit, aging on site gym that houses maybe what, 7,000? Honestly, You'll see better at your local YMCA in terms of a weight room and training access. They've been trying to build a new training center for more than a decade but your in one of the most historic areas of Washington, DC so land is very, VERY hard to come by and the powers that be at the university aren't too keen in giving a one of the more prestigious Catholic universities in the world a 'modern' face-lift. It may sound minor but you get a kid that visit us, than takes a trip to say Florida and I'm sure he's thinking about whether or not Georgetown can properly prepare him for the next level. Then you have a school and president who aren't really pressed about the whole issue. Georgetown is a academic institution that just happens to be very good in one sport(well two if you count lacrosse). Its not really on their agenda to accommodate at basketball coach looking to build a powerhouse. I mean they care but not really. It's not imperative to them in the grand scheme. Kind of like, 'this is the situation, take it it leave it' kind of thing.

If Wiggins does indeed re-declare, this seems like it has the potential to be a truly special class for UK, even if they don't currently have any big commitments right now. Can you imagine a team with the Harrison twins, Randle and Wiggins?

I try not to. In all honesty if they didn't go undefeated I'd be shocked.

Basketball is turning into a shithole in general. Nobody wants to work for their titles. Everybody wants to take the shortcut.

So, if a kid wants to play for Kentucky, he should just change his plans because another good player also wants to play for Kentucky?

Well the thought is the reason they are choosing Kentucky is cause they are stacked and have the easiest path to a title.
