Tebow makes sense. When you have no playmakers on offense and a good defense, why wouldn't you want a QB like Tebow? Sanchez right now has a Tebow-esque completion percentage without the running ability and the occasional big plays in the air.

The thing is, the defense really isn't even that good. Take away Revis and suddenly you have to make all kinds of adjustments. The safeties can no longer help Cro or support the run because they now have to help Kyle Wilson/Joe McKnight. With the secondary weakened, the already weak pass rush will have even less time to get to the QB.
It's just a bad situation all around. Tebow running the triple option with Bilal Powell and chucking the occasional pass up for Stephen Hill might be all they've got.

This post is entirely true. So depressing. Although McKnight is now a RB again. Aaron Berry's going to be playing corner.

I know Berry got cut by the Lions for his legal problems, but he wasn't all that good to begin with.

I think the thing that sucks even more about the Tebow thing is that he will inevitably start some time or another yet there's probably more than a dozen back up qbs who are better than Tebow but don't nearly have the publicity behind their name that they'll never get their chance to shine.
Could also be because it's the jets.

If the Jets are gonna suck either way at least Tebow will get people in the seats and jerseys sold. Even Tebow losing gets more airtime than Sanchez winning. I can see a pure money reason to play Tebow.
Also it just fun to watch Tebow win or fail. Run option football and boom it deep to Hill.

An owner is for life.

At least watching Tebow is funny. Try being a Knicks fan. Our owners isn't just a ****** ******, he's mega-******-******** n still pretty young for an owner.

Why can't you assholes just give me a break about the knicks. The team's a thousand years old, our coach is clueless and our owner's an unmatched fucktard.

This Tebow news was the worst kept secret ever in the history of football. What person on the planet didn't see this coming? Then it's funny they are even going to trot out Sanchez one more week. Versus the Texans defense, with not a single offensive weapon to help, that is obviously going to be a train wreck of a start.
I guess my question is when Tebow goes out there and plays worse, then what? And I need to make sure I keep my self far far away from Skip Bayless for the rest of the season. I've heard him argue over Tebow countless times, and I swear to God every argument is literally exactly the same washed up tired argument over, and over, and over. But that's quality journalism for ya these days.

The hypocrisy though...dear lord the hypocrisy.
"Mark Sanchez is our starting QB and will be for many years. Tim Tebow is JUST a backup and gadget option." - Anyone associated with the Jets.
All ************* offseason since the trade was made. I don't know how you can accept telling obvious lies like that in front of the world.
Everyone, absolutely everyone, just knew there was no change in hell of Sanchez keeping the job all year unless the Jets played amazingly well. And everyone knew the Jets weren't going to play amazingly well...

The injuries to Revis and Holmes helped to make the switch quicker. Perhaps there was some intervention from a higher power?

I mean, Tebow is going to have his moments where Stephen Hill will get behind the defense as Tebow does his tilt-a-whirl backfield spin moves. The highlights of Hill bringing in Tebow's dead duck pass and sprinting to the end zone will be replayed on ESPN over 9000 times per day and everyone will be like "whoa, he's so much better than Mark Sanchez!"
The Jets defense is just crap though without Revis. It'll be difficult for Tebow to stage 4th quarter comebacks when the defense is no longer holding opposing teams to 13 points per game like the Broncos did. Tebow will get his highlight plays still, but now, they'll come in 31-14 losses.

This.
I don't know why people keep doubting him. Tebow is god. He did the exact same with the Broncos last year...the exact same! And you're all gonna say "he's obviously not gonna keep it up", until he takes the Jets to the playoffs and proves you all wrong. I can't wait!

I hope that was typed behind some serious sarcasm because there are huge differences between these two teams.

Tebow!
I can't wait! If I remember correctly, I thought it would be like after week 8, but it's coming even sooner!

I said week 6 all offseason. It's looking like I'll be damn close after the Texans rape Mark Sanchez this week.

Looks like there are so many ticket requests for the Jacksonville-Chicago game, the Jaguars are going to take the tarps off at least one section. Sounds like there will be a strong showing of Bears fans (including myself).
