I always love a non-hispanic try to speak Spanish. I can't help but crack a smile and chuckle.
This exactly how I feel about most movie german and why I love spy movies. Russian's worse because most tv/movie russians don't even say russian words, much less the right words.

Really? Damn that's disappointing lol. I can never actually tell but I thought they'd be speaking proper Russian or close.

Totally forgot Bacon "speaks" russian in this to, it's even better because his pacing and where he puts the emphasii is just totally off. At least they did get him real russian to speak.

All of a sudden there are a ton of really great movies out that I want to see. Looper, The Master, Argo, Seven Psychopaths...Damn.
Also, it might have just been the mood I was in or my insane love of boxing, but I enjoyed Real Steel waaaay more then I should have. Rocky with robots? Awesome.

I went in thinking of it as a kids movie. Enjoyed it as a result.
Basically it's a movie from 87 that had a very very very very limited release.. Someone that works for this movie company bought a bunch of old film reels for $50 and this was one of them. They remastered it and are gonna be releasing it in a few theatres over the next few months, and then on DVD/Blu Ray in December.
I didn't like Looper nearly as much as I thought I would. I was really, really disappointed in the second half of the movie. I thought everything up until the farm was genius, but the movie just fell apart after that.
Basically, I just felt it played way better as a time travel mafia flick then it did a pseudo Xmen wannabe sort of...mess. God I hated the turn the movie took. Before all that garbage, I was convinced Jeff Daniels was going to be The Rainmaker and he'd sent himself back in time to hide and pull all the strings from there. WAY BETTER ENDING HOLLYWOOD!

Sat down and watched Equilibrium again...so absurd, but I love it. The movie could easily be the type of movie that is starred by Steven Segal. But the fact that it's Christian Bale, makes it a bad ass flick.

Surprisingly enough...I didnt really see the stuff at the farm going down like that. I'm normally really good at foreseeing this stuff, and I just didnt see it. The ending was obvious at a certain point...but the farm bit prior to all that, caught me a little off guard.
Anyway, I loved the movie...Emily Blunt's son was freaking nuts. His demeanor was pretty awesome, though. He acted like he was 40.

Movie's too popular and getting too much praise, gotta hate on it.
I was watching the Thing remake the other day...reminded me of the necromorphs from Dead Space. There is no reason why a Dead Space movie couldnt be bad ass. There is so much to work with there. It's just a matter of time before these video game movies start to be successful. Things have come a long way in video game story telling.
I thought looper was better than sub par. I wouldn't say it was amazing but I would say very good. I enjoyed it alot.
You're right, I shouldn't say sub-par. Again, the first half of the movie was really, really amazing. The original "loop" sequence was an awesome mind-****. The second half of the movie was just garbage though, I'm sorry.

Eh I think you just had different expectations of where it was going and since it didn't end up like that you were disappointed. I wasn't super upset with the outcome really.

I didn't understand the massive change in direction the movie took. It would have been really, really easy to finish that movie as a tightly wound, time-travel mafia flick, but instead we got...mommy issues.

Saw Prometheus, I liked it but I was expecting a little more considering how much some people were hyping it. Still good but definitely a set up, would definitely see the next one if it's made,
Heard Taken 2 was awful but I'm still going to go see it.
