He's been pretty poor actually, but over the past few weeks is starting to find his shooting boots and get settled in. Gladbach have been horribly sloppy in defense and their build up though, so the whole team has been pretty bad so far and he hasn't had great support on top of his personal struggles. That said I think they're turning the corner and going to keep getting better and better.

I figured he would have an adjustment period....most Dutch strikers take a while to settle in.

We had a really nice 15 minute spell there.....a goal would have been really nice.

Yeah, it hasn't helped that the rest of the squad needed a similar working in period. They probably have even more pure-talent than they did last year, despite losing Dante and Reus, who are both arguably the best in the Bundesliga at their positions, but there's been no chemistry and understanding, terribly sloppy mistakes and just ugly play until today.

This Hannover team are just so damn resilient, go down a man and a goal at midweek to Levante, proceed to boss the game and win 2-1. Go down against the 2 time defending BL champs, who might have the most deadly counter attack in the world, take over the second half and force the draw with a missed chances to win.

They're so deep up front and both Schlaudraf and Ya Konan do a great job when they have to drop back further behind one of the big guys. Hustzi's just awesome, he and Arrango are probably the only guys in the BL with a better left foot than Robben, and despite losing Andreason they're still deep in the central midfield with old man Pinto and the youngsters, Stindl and Schmiedebach, sitting in front of Cherundolo and Zieler's backline.

Possible reasons why Liverpool keep hitting the woodwork:

1. Because hitting the post looks quite cool.

2. Some sort of magnet system sneakily installed by Everton fans.

3. The goal frame has let itself go and got a bit fat.

4. Their shooting isn't quite accurate enough.
