Terrell Owens @terrellowens
Hey JETS!!! I'm available! I'm ready, willing & able! Call my agent @jordanwoy & let's make it happen.
I am absolutely scared....somewhere I really think we might sign this clown.

I feel like he played better than ESPN was giving him credit for. That throw to Cromartie down the sidelines was perfect. Cromartie just isn't a WR and has no clue how to keep his feet in bounds. If that ball had been placed anymore in the field of play, the DB (the one playing DB) would have broken it up easy.

I went to Vegas in the summer and thought about putting $100 on the Texans to win the Super Bowl at 15:1 odds. I figured I could wait until closer in the year and bet online but by that time the odds dropped to like 8:1.

I'm slightly stunned the Jets haven't made a play for Chad Johnson yet.

He'll just 'roid up and go out there more.
edit: Or he'll get some of the Giants "Adderall" injections and take them.

Clay Matthews is on a roll trying to annoy the NFL. He posted the commish's number and now says that the NFL only cares about protecting the offensive players' safety and couldn't care less about the defensive players taking illegal hits.

The one take away from this game that I'm happy about is that now everyone sees that us jets fans weren't just exaggerating on how bad our offensive weapons are.

Yeah he's inconsistent but really when he had weapons like Edwards, Holmes, LT(Jones in 09) and Cotchery they were being mishandled by Brian Schottenheimer and as a result what would have been a very promising offense on paper was not being utilized properly.....now its just the talent around him is miserable with Keller, Hill and Holmes all out. Those are arguably our 3 best targets in the air attack. I blame our GM for not giving the team sufficient depth on the team and I get Sanchez has not lit up the world but I am seriously not kidding that the targets either drop the ball or run wrong routes or that in some cases Austin Howard and D'Brick get beat like a drum and Sanchez has to throw poor passes.
|
No. No he can't. It's time to let it go bro. The excuses have run out. He's just not a good quarterback. He's a backup quarterback.
I was a Sanchez supporter for his first 2 years in the league, but we've seen absolutely no growth from him. None. Not even a little bit. He can't read defenses, he lacks great arm strength or accuracy. He's just not good enough.
His biggest issue is the mental aspect of the game. He can't change protections, read defenses, or anticipate windows. He's a college quarterback, nothing more.

I've seen Winston on a few media segments not all relating to Chiefs and Texans football. He seems pretty bright. He had a nice Monday Morning Quarterback article filling in for Peter King a couple of years ago as a guest writer.

To be fair Cromartie had a step and the pass was underthrown which was why the DB had a chance to make a play on it. That said, I thought it was a relatively well placed ball like you said and agree that a WR would have gotten his feet down in bounds.

That should have been a touchdown. Cro was wide open, if Sanchez had enough arm to lead him he could have thrown it inside and the toe tapping doesn't even become an issue.
But it was underthrown and to the outside. Yes Cro could have still caught it, but it was unnecessarily difficult. It was a bad throw.

Wait, Cro is playing WR for the Jets now? Is that going to be a regular thing?

It was 1 play. He ran a stop and go. He actually looked pretty good doing it.

Well now he is the best WR on the team so maybe we will see more of him.

I just want him to be playing both sides so I can pick him up in fantasy. That would be fantastic.
