I would not say it was sub par. I think it is one of the better movies that has come out this year. I do agree with you on the second half being weaker than the first. Brody calling it an instant Sci-Fi classic is crazy talk to me but to each his own. Time to annoy you all again and repeat that The Master is in every way a better film and I am disappointed by all of you who have not seen it.

I genuinely enjoyed Taken 1. Taken 2 was incredibly terrible, I laughed at multiple points during the movie because of how thoroughly awful it was.

I too enjoyed Taken 1. Not because it was this great movie, but just because the novelty of Liam killing everyone for two hours.

If you're going into Taken 2 expecting Citizen Kane, you're probably not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. Take it for what it is, mindless action and cheesy writing. And it's a damn fun watch.

This, I love citizen kane, Aronofsky is my favorite current director, but there's some movies that are just going to be dumb fun. That's why Shoot Em Up was the best action film of hte past decade and why Taken 1 was incredible.
