So just to leave a reminder for myself why I should just give up on ever picking a decent girl for myself and make my friends do it. I got stood up by this girl tonight...because she was busy fighting with her boyfriend, a boyfriend she didn't mention when we met last weekend or had lunch on Tuesday, and our mutual friend, at who's party we met, didn't tell me until I called her to find out WTF this ***** was. I'm awesome at this life thing, clearly.

I've always been amazed at how girls think that you talk to them to just be friends. Don't be stupid...every girl I've ever gone up to and met I tried to bag at one point in time.

See that I disagree with whole heartedly, but I've had girls that I was just friends with since I was a little kid, in fact my first friend ever was a little girl a year older than me, our parents were friends and immigrated around the same time, so it's weird for me not to have a female best friend or trying to get with a girl I'm actually good friends with.

Don't get me wrong. I got friends I've known since I was a kid too that I've never seen more than just a friend and I have my best bud and I have my go-to girl who I go to for a lot of stuff.

But those are usually girls I don't just start talking to randomly. We either got stuck doing a group project or something idk. If I ever muster up the balls, which I have issues with, to go and randomly talk to a girl....most than likely I don't just wanna be friends with her. It doesn't always end up with what I want but at one point getting em in bed was the goal.

I talk a lot of **** and jump into a lot of people's conversations because I just can't keep my mouth shut, so when I'm actually out n being social, n not locked away like a hermit, I meet a lot of girls and usually don't even think about whether I would wanna bed em until I've got a sense for her personality, cause my type is much more of an attitude/personality thing than a specific look thing.

Known this girl for a couple of months. She moved back home recently and we've been talking a good amount more, went to dinner earlier this week and then dancing the night after. I'm trying to make it as obvious as i can that i'm into her not as just a friend, but need to make sure. I just don't know how yet. I usually don't have this problem, as i'm very forward, but this is a really good girl, i can't just go in for a kiss randomly or without justification. Any pointers or tips ya'll have used? I'm prolly gonna ask her to dinner again tonight or tomorrow night.

You didn't go for a kiss after dinner or at any point during your night of dance?

Nope, we met up both times. Dinner was a better time, it was late and the restaurant was near empty. Had good conversation, and she left a little early from the dancehall last night. I was with my buddies. I just don't know if it's too soon to try that play. She's a little more old fashioned than the average girl these days.

Well assuming conservative girls around chicago aren't that different from conservative girls out where you are, you should've walked her to her car, thanked her for a wonderful night as you hugged her good night. Let her go a little, so that she's still in your arms, but no longer pressed against you, n brushed her hair behind her ear before running your finger along her jaw to her chin to tilt her head up towards you, while telling her how you can't wait to have such gorgeous, sassy and smart girl like her (insert your own adjectives) wrapped up in your arms again, take her hand off of our chest and kiss her finger tips. Then once she starts to turn away to get into her car, you pull her back n just kiss her.

I would just keep going out with her on date-type things. If it's just you and her, going to dinner, going to the movies, going dancing, etc it should be pretty obvious to her that you are interested in her.

I would just be patient. Feelings may still be developing for her, so you wouldn't want to necessarily jump the gun.

We're just talking about a kiss though, not trying to bone her on the first date. If she likes you enough to go out to dinner with you n then to go dancing, she likes you enough for a kiss.

I'm not into kissing guys. But if I was, I think Rosebud is the guy I'd want doing it. Nice moves.
