I don't see Bennett & Birch staying more then a year at UNLV.

I've heard good things for Rutgers when it comes to Roberson. Selfishly I'd like to see 'Nova make a push since we could really use somebody like him, but he'd do well at Rutgers.

Well you took Hart already so we'll take him, it's only fair. It will come down to us 2 again though.

I'd trade you Hart for Roberson, he's going to be good and we need more at forward than on the wing. As far as I've heard it's you and 'Cuse with you in the drivers seat though, would definitely be a huge get for the Rutgers program. Rice will turn things around quickly too, great coach.

Haha well no I would rather have Roberson. He'd be a better fit with us anyway because we're going to need a 3 after this year. It's a perfect match. I'm expecting NIT this year but with maybe an outside chance to finally go dancing again. Once we get back to the tourney I think Rice will start to clean up. I know you've been a fan of his the whole time.

Yeah me too haha but we're not going to get him unfortunately. Would MUCH rather see him land at Rutgers than 'Cuse though.
Nova recruiting has been weird. We've got way too many guards (of the 12 guys committed to be on the team in 2014 we've got 4 guys who could play PG/SG in college, another 5 who are SG/SF types, 2 SF/PF's, and one PF/C. Granted a couple of the SG/SF's could maybe play PF in a small lineup, but it's a big stretch. Desperately need some forwards/size. Aside from Roberson we're going after a guy Gavin Schilling who just transferred to Findlay which is a big basketball factory out in Vegas and seems to be pretty talented so he could be a riser but I'm not sure how realistic that is either.
I have been a big Rice proponent and think he's going to do good things. When you take a guy who can coach and recruit and put him in NJ where there's access to all sorts of great recruiting areas (lots of good NJ kids, Philly can be decent from time to time, lots of good kids in NE prep schools, and the DMV area is really strong plus I know Rutgers has some contacts down there too) it's a good recipe for success.

I mean at this point Bennett needs to prove to NBA teams he can be a 3 or be effective as an undersized 4 and Birch, at least last I knew, was too skinny for the NBA and pretty raw to boot. If they have big seasons I could see either or both of them leaving, Bennett moreso than Birch, but I don't think either is a slam dunk to leave.

Not really. Birch still has more to work on before he cab go to the NBA. He needs to continue to get stronger and develop a decent offensive game.
Bennett needs time to develop into a 3.

If they make the Final 4, then it's a possibility. Even if they leave, Dave Rice can reload.

I don't think they are either, I just think it's funny when people seem confident about these things. If they both have good seasons and get good grades from the advisory committee there's little reason to come back.

Completely fair, I don't disagree at all. Never got why people just assume stuff is a given. Was just giving my perspective on those two.
So Andrew Wiggins officially reclassified to the class of 2013. Big move.

Good to see the Gophers get a good amount of votes. It will be interesting to see who tears their ACL or gets arrested this year.

IF UCLA gets the Shabazz and Kyle Anderson situation sorted out (or they only miss a few games) they should be top 5.

Why should they be top 5 when neither of these guys has played game?
On a side note, CBS Sports had Shabazz Muhammad as the best perimeter player in college even though he's never played a game. That makes no sense.

What has happened in college basketball recently that leads you to believe a team shouldn't be highly ranked because their team is freshman heavy? That's what makes no sense.

As yo said, have you watched college basketball over the last few years? Shabazz and Kyle Anderson are complete studs and Jordan Adams and Tony Parker look to be great recruits as well. Add that to a good number of very solid players (Wear twins, Lamb, Powell, potentially Drew II and Josh Smith) and you have a very good team. Assuming they do get Shabazz and Anderson in a timely manner (no guarantee), it is no stretch at all to say they will be top 5.

Troy Williams to Indiana... lol they may be back!
That leaves Kennedy Meeks, Noah Vonleh, and Andrew Wiggins still in the mix to add to Nate Britt and Isiah Hicks.

They haven't proven a damn thing. Calling a guy who has never played a game in college the best perimeter player in the country is absurd. Put Aaron Craft on him and see how he does.

The majority of Kentucky's players hadn't proven anything heading into last season either. It's all guesswork, I don't see anything wrong with projecting a team with talented freshmen to do well since it's happened plenty in the past.
Craft is a funny name to put out there too. I get that he's a very good perimeter defender but he'd be giving up almost 4 inches and 30 pounds unless he's bigger than listed on Ohio State's website.
