Damn. A reboot for Fantastic Four by Fox is happening. Of course they wouldn't let those rights get away.

A 'Fantastic Four' reboot has been confirmed.
Fox creative consultant Mark Millar revealed a remake of the Marvel comic book movie will stay true to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's original comics, and insists he has complete faith in 'Chronicle' director Josh Trank to ensure he doesn't detract too much from the original material when he helms the film.
He said: ''You can tell from 'Chronicle' that it was a new way of looking at superheroes, and I think he's going to apply that same slightly skewed way of looking at heroes to the 'Fantastic Four', but do it in a way that feels incredibly reverential to the Kirby and Lee stuff.''
But Mark has warned fans of the franchise - which saw Jessica Alba, Kerry Washington and Chris Evans star in 2005's action film 'Fantastic Four' - not to expect a ''grim and gritty'' production in the same style as some of the more recent superhero movies.
He added to SFX magazine: ''I don't think you could do 'Fantastic Four' and try and make it grim and gritty.''

This recent Spider Man was at least decent. Maybe there is hope. And I enjoyed Chronicle. We shall see.

I really, really hated the new spiderman. And would like Fox to lose those rights so we could see these characters in Marvels universe in future projects.

Yeah I watched it on the plane last week and thought it was awful. Just a completely unnecessary remake that brought nothing new to the table. As much as I enjoy Rhys Ifans, he's not a villain, and Garfield was just sort of...there.
Is anyone actually upset that the Fantastic 4 won't be rejoining Marvel? I'm not. They kind of suck, even in the comics.
And that Iron Man 3 trailer was all sorts of interesting. Shane Black is the man.

Interesting you feel that way. I thought the movie was at least better than the first Spiderman released in 2001. Especially with the depiction of Peter Parker, which seemed a lot better than it was done back then. The same with Uncle Ben's death. A lot better played out.

I do really like Garfield alot, and think he could even be a better fit for Parker than Toby was. But his character development was just so ehhhh. He went from chasing down and ruthlesly looking for his Uncle's killer to all of a sudden just stopping for no real reason. We got more conclusion to that whole storyline in like the first half hour of the first spiderman than we did in the whole movie of the reboot. Plus, why bring up this whole storyline of his parents being involved in something super top secret but barely do anything with it. Sure they are going to focus on that aspect more in the sequels but it just made no sense the way they went about it.
Also don't even get me started on the god damn Lizard.

Spider-Man felt like 5 movies rolled into one, and everything seemed rush. I do think Garfield/Stone are generally better than Tobey/Dunst, but they need to tell a damn story.

I did the same thing.
I like that it looks much more serious so it won't be too comparable to the original....

Yeah I am really not big on the whole remake idea in Hollywood, but Raimi and Cambell have been on board and been saying since day 1 fans will be absolutely thrilled with this. And the trailer, which looked much more serious, didn't disappoint imo. Looks awesome.
