Not sure if anyone here lives in the area, but Western PA and New York are going to see as much as 12-18" of snow from this storm. We are two weeks away from being closer to summer than winter. Also, the last time this thread was used was for a snowstorm that was actually closer to summer than it was winter. (The end of October)

I moved to Florida from Michigan about nine months ago. Posts like this make me happy I did so. It's 80 and sunny down here.

It's currently snowing in State College, PA. It started at 7:30 and is still going. They're big flakes, very wet and cold. They melt when they hit the ground. Miserable weather.

I'm assuming the 12-18" is over a very small area (with the October snowstorm my area, and pretty much only my area, really got a lot of snow). But I've seen pics where there is already 8" on the ground. My friend is up in Ithaca and he has 6" of snow up there. My uncle has a hunting cabin near the PA/New York border near Bradford and they're supposed to get about a foot.

Yeah it doesn't look like you get much accumulating, if any, there.

I'm just glad it isn't here. Seriously, our trees couldn't handle another snowstorm like the one we had in October. They lose so many limbs, that if that alone didn't kill them, the lack of nutrients they'd get due to lack of leaves would really put them at risk.

I went to Sears to get some propane for my grill for tailgating today and I got the last tank. Apparently they sold like 100 tanks of propane yesterday for people stocking up for the storm. Crazy...

I'm going to be pissed if I lose power. Report are usually over exaggerated, but I'm hearing lower Manhattan is going to flood like all hell and power may be out for a week. I'll probably just go live in my office building if thats the case...they must have a badass generator.

Haha, it's so weird. I lived in Connecticut the first 21 years of my life, and I've never witnessed a hurricane (except when I was super young and I don't remember Hurricane Bob I think it was). And of course we get hit by two in like a year.
