I don't want to jinx anything, but I'm going to say that Witten has definitely played his ass off today.

HAVE to obviously hold them to a FG here unless you can actually come up with an INT on ELI here..... or get Ahmad to cough one up like Queen Felix just did.

Once again terrible game management by Garrett. 3rd and 1 and we throw deep to Ogltree. That is just great.

Garrett has no feel for calling plays. But Tony never should have thrown that ball.
Also 2nd and 1 .... I get taking a shot but on 3rd and 1 you have to assure the first down with three time outs.
Same old Cowboys but if they would cut Dez and Felix tomorrow the team would straighten out. Those two clowns are always unprepared. I could almost live with Romo if the other fools would not ruin things.

Funny. Dez pumping when the Miles Austin is our best WR by a wide mile. I just don't get why people don't slavishly drool about Miles instead of the loyal Dez sycophants.
Dez also had a horrid game (again) and as Aikman said how a guy who makes so many mistakes stays on the field is beyond him (but not Jerry's puppet, JG, our course).

Austin played his ass off too. Praise to one doesn't mean you think less of the other.
Bob do you suffer from second child syndrome? It sure would explain a lot.

Keep licking that lollipop b/c by the time you are done with it, it is going to taste like Dez's excrement.
He sucks. He has lost us two games this year. He does not run his routes. He short arms passes when he feels the defender. Then he preens the sidelines like Mike Irvin. LOL.

Your defense is really good. Stop it. Seriously.
And Lee was out.
Stop it.

Prime example of what happens when your offense becomes one dimensional against a team that can create pressure without blitzing. More players to drop into coverage and watch the ball resulting in turnovers.
I still can not fathom 2nd and 1 inside the thirty with less then two minutes to play and all three time outs. It's clearly four down territory, not one rushing attempt, not even one tight formation to bluff the run. Spread second incomplete, spread third incomplete, spread 4th on a blitz int.
I give the Rob and company credit for not giving up and self destructing in short field situations. Our defense had a really well played game all considered, rush defense was especially stout.
All that said we were two inches from a win.

There's a constant here regarding the turnovers through Parcells, Wade, Garrett...
What is it?

Your CBs are really good. Carr and Clairborne have shut Nicks and Cruz down. Lee and Carter make a great ilb duo. If you get another pass rusher on defense, watch out.

Before anyone says it, yes I'm aware Lee didn't play today. I'm just sayin.
Felix Jones is a bum. I picked him up in fantasy football. Hes awful. Can't stay healthy and sucks when he does.

True but then you are still re-arranging chairs on the same boat going no where.
I am not a Romo fan. He is not a leader but he is good enough to get you much farther than they have gone. I think the bottom line has been how this team is built and the pecking orders in the organization.
To me, this team has systematically over the years held back younger players for older ones due to perceptions moreso than on field production. I can run down the list of players who we had who were young and they were simply scrapped for small reasons. Many teams waive the old vet and keep the young guy .... we don't eschew that mindset.
The other issue is I think the Owner spends too much time babying certain players and usurping how football organizations need to be run. Dez is a great example. If I am in the locker room and I see all the babying, the excuses and the volume of errors he makes ... I get demotivated. I feel that no matter what I do, what matters is how the Owner views you. And if the Owner thinks you are great and a starter -- you can really be a screw up up year after year without fear of losing your job.
Lastly, this team has never invested in talent inside out. That is to say build you team and draft and bring in talent to address the middle of the field first. Safety, Inside LB, NT, DE, Center, Guard, Tailback, QB ...... We always seem to be worried about "over spending" on interior and way over pay for edge (WR, CB, OLB).
Just very difficult to see the same thing every year and every year hear Ownership talk up the team to then say the same thing when they play bad football.
Today was like the perfect Cowboys game ... you see the flashes and then the same clown players making the same mistakes and the press conference babbling the same thing. Baltimore too. Lions last year.
Ground hog day.

I uhh..just don't understand the point in railing against Jerry.
It's not going to change...it's really as simple as becoming a fan of a different team. That's it.
Otherwise, it's time to hit the reset switch on this group...aka Romo.

That is my position. We have lots of talent. Time for other organizations to use them to win.
Sell to the highest bidder, scrap this squad with the exception of the last two first rounders, Demarco, Carter and Lee. Ratliff, Witten, Romo, Austin, Bryant, Hatcher ...... all of them.
Then try and get the franchise QB in the draft and start drafting smart football players who can be coached and are not part of this culture of "almost".
At the same time, likely Jones gets olde, less interested and hopefully some football people not named "Jones" take it over. That means moving his family members to administrative roles like concenssions.

Just got back from the game. What a roller coaster of emotions! Thought our D was outstanding especially the backend. Once again a game we shoulda coulda won but for dumb mistakes and the play calling at the end of the game! 2nd and 1 at the 19 with 1:30 to play and 3 timeouts and never once run the ball to pick up the 1st down? Romo rolling out with a run/pass option worked all night but instead we throw to the end zone, incomplete, and on 4th down Romo retreats 20 yards before throwing it up for grabs...SMH We just find ways to lose. Its so frustrating. Oh, and Felix is a PuZZy. The sooner hes gone the better!

The sad part about today, is that in the first quarter when the Giants were punting, BEFORE the play happened i looked over to my buddy and said "with the way things are going, Dez will run around, try to break too many tackles and fumble the ball". I laughed after the play. It's pathetic that i can sit there and predict exactly how our team will fail once again.
3rd and 1, the Felix fumble, the Dez fumble. Every damn week it's the same thing. We shut down Eli and that vaunted Giants passing game and once again we lose.

I liked how we played with A LOT less penalties! Improvement FTW!
We gotta figure out this running game... it's time to give Dunbar the rock. We couldn't run the ball AT ALL today.
