I have good news to ND fans and bad news for SC fans on a high profile recruit.

David Dawson has dropped Florida from his list and is now down to Michigan State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin.

2014 seems to be where we're attempting to load up at OL. Dorian Johnson's a pipe dream at this point :(
And as far as Moore is concerned, he seems like he has ability to make plays in space which has been our biggest weak point this year, he is visiting for the Illinois game and early playing time would be a good pitch for him.

they're in on Vonn Bell (probably 2nd to Tennessee right now) and David Dawson (MSU probably #1, but neck and neck) as well. I think there are a few southern linebackers they could lead for, but I don't know which of those guys have legit commitable offers. Skai Moore seems like he could be theirs if they want him. Tony Stevens seems like is OSU's to lose once he visits for The Game. Charlie Strong will probably be HC at Auburn or some SEC school by December, so that helps us with Quick, but I would be shocked if he goes anywhere but Louisville regardless.
Shelton Gibson
Chris Worley
Mike Mitchell
Tony Stevens
...maybe Donovan Munger if they want another DT
those guys I expect Urban to land. Dawson is 50/50. Bell probably 60/40 for UT....but they are gonna be having a new coaching staff too this offseason which helps.

Tennessee is much more worried about Bama with Bell than they are with OSU from what I gather.

With an imminent (and much needed) coaching change, how confident can UT really be in getting any recruit right now?

We lead for Marquez North, Vonn Bell, and Derrick Green right now according to a lot of the recruiting analysts. And apparently Carl Lawson is strongly considering us. I would think with an even better coach those guys would still want to come here.

that's bc he hasn't been to Columbus yet I don't think....but I've definitely heard that Bell was very high on tOSU and they were 2nd to Tennessee.
I'm interested to see who Tennessee's coaches will be come real recruiting season (December and January), and if it will make a big difference who their coach is in regards to Bell's recruitment....same goes for James Quick and Louisville.

The Vols lead for Derrick Green now? News to me. Last time I talked to him he told me differently but I hope you boys land him.

Tennessee fan sites always claim UT is in it with this stud or that stud and it rarely pans out. Jeff Luc's recruitment was an all-time classic from VolNation.

Firstly, Marquez North has publicly stated we're his #1. Derrick Green is down to basically us and Michigan and Brent Hubbs says he feels like we lead and he rarely, if ever puts himself out there unless he's extremely confident. And then everyone knows UT is the team to beat with Vonn Bell. Childhood favorite team and he visits all the time. He even visits other schools when we're playing there. We also lead for probably the top JUCO player in Toby Johnson. Sure, in the past VN posters whip themselves into frenzies, but this info isn't coming from them.
As for Luc, the insiders said he was all Vol until Gran left UT for FSU. Seems reasonable to me.

Every year VolNation becomes obsessed with a FSU recruit, in 2010 it was pure hilarity with Luc and Christian Jones. In 2011, James Wilder Jr. and in 2012 Mario Pender was "definitely" going to UT if he wasn't an EE at FSU, despite him saying he'd wait.

"Alex and I always wanted to go to the same school. We are really close and that's always been something we've always wanted to do,” Franklin said. “It feels good to finally have that opportunity if we decide to go there."
As for when a decision may come, that is not yet determined according to Franklin.
"Most likely, Alex and I will decide at the same time. We'll probably talk about it tonight and figure something out."
In addition to Florida State, Franklin also holds offers from Air Force, Bowling Green, FIU, Georgia State, Navy, Samford, and Temple. Schools such as Miami and Wisconsin have also shown interest.

FSU offered 2* Athlete John Franklin from the same HS as Alex Collins. I HATE the idea of offering a bad teammate to secure a stud, but the coaching staff apparently does not (see Michael Johnson and Mackenro Alexander).

I don't really see what any of that has to do with the post of mine you quoted. But that's pretty par for the course from you I guess.

I'll never understand why big time recruits ever consider FSU. They haven't done anything noteworthy in college football besides choke every season.

Would that not be the case for any ACC school. All of them seem to lose the BCS bowl game they make.

Looks like Robert Foster is close to announcing where he is going to go. The timing screams Alabama, but I could also see him staying home. Tons of rumors of him getting told to get a fresh start out of Pittsburgh, but I do not know how true those rumors are.

Do you know what he did to get ejected from that one game? I think it was really recent.

John Franklin commits to FSU today, now just waiting on Alex Collins to flip.

Yeah it was last week. He got a couple personal foul penalties and was acting like a baby I guess. Dude is ultra talented, but isn't smart at all and I've heard rumors of character issues as well. I used to live where he at, and heard some stuff bout him. He's no doubt a nice kid, but I just feel like he might be a problem in college.
