It's definitely shaping up to be one of my favorite seasons of any show, I know that. Things just keep getting better and better with each ep
I certainly like season 1 a lot better than season 2 to this point.
That is no slight to season 2, but season 1 of Homeland is, in my opinion, one of the finest seasons in television history. The way that the show peels the layers away on the characters while still delivering an amazing plot is pretty much only matched by seasons 1, 2, and 4 of The Wire. The acting is absolutely brilliant.
Season 2 is also very good, but they are continuing to toe the line on implausibility and I think it's getting worse. Some of the things I haven't liked about season 2, plausibility wise
1) Are we really to expect that Brody knows exactly what phone # to text when alerting Abu Nazir of the ambush at the start of this season? That obviously wasn't Nazir's phone. Wouldn't the writers know that people would ask this question? Why not have a single line in any of the dialogue with Brody/Nazir's operation to cover this for continuity's sake?
2) So, they're going to a tailor shop to investigate, but they don't have a bomb squad there to check the place out? Didn't they know that this guy, you know, MADE BOMBS?
3) Doesn't Mike remember that Brody shot the deer in season 1? Wouldn't that be the reason that a single bullet was missing from his stash? And why is he bringing up that Brody killed Walker to Jessica with no legitimate evidence? Is he just that in love with her that he wants to ruin their marriage? Or do the writers just think he's a moron?
4) Incredibly unstable bipolar lead detective on a hugely important national security operation/detail is constantly left alone with no real supervision. We're not worried that she's going to relapse or do something stupid again, apparently? Where's Saul at? Logically, wouldn't Estes tell Saul to basically monitor Carrie 24/7? After all, he booted her out of the CIA before for bringing home evidence that should have stayed in Langley.
5) On a related note, what's going on with Brody and his PTSD? He's just magically cured from this? They spent so much time on this early in the show and I definitely expected it to be an underlying factor throughout the entire Brody story arc.
Brilliant show, brilliant acting, I'm definitely hooked. I'm not saying these things are ruining the show, just that they are getting a little sloppy. Something that did not really happen at all in season 1.
I am only going to say this once: NONE OF YOU HAD BETTER BEEN LOOKING WHEN MY YVONNE TOOK HER SHIRT OFF. THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING. I have already contacted Michael C Hall and had words with him.
Look at it this way, if Rodgers had Allstate instead of State Farm, he'd be protected from mayhem like this

Amazon.com Inc is testing a new monthly option for its popular Prime video-streaming service as the world's largest Internet retailer steps up competition with Netflix Inc.
Prime typically costs $79 a year in the United States for free two-day shipping, free video streaming and access to Amazon's Kindle e-book lending library. The company is now offering the service for $7.99 a month on its website, which works out to $95.88 a year, but at that rate it can be purchased strictly on a month-to-month basis.
JAG/NCIS will make the fourth spin off. I hope the fourth series will kick NCIS:LA out. The original NCIS may be done next year as all casts' contracts apparently will be expired at the same time.
