Momma wants her baby to stay home, Dad wants the kids to get out of the damn house. Typical :)
Dad wants him to the place that will get the fam the most coin. NFL pays Bama players more than they play Pitt players....in most cases haha.

Viliamu Aukusitino, First-team All-State, passing for 2,396 yards and rushing for 1,008 last year. Not sure what the numbers were this year. Think it was 1127 passing yards and 956 rushing. Might also be the best defensive player in the state. Defensive highlights start at 6:53.
In the first half alone, he accounted for 454 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns in a variety of ways. He was most devastating on defense, returning interceptions for touchdowns of 46, 45 and 32 yards. And then there was the blocked field goal which he raced nearly the length of the field (90 yards) to score a fourth defensive touchdown. In addition, he completed 10 of 15 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns, while running nine times for 86 yards. The score was 52-3 at halftime.

Didn't commit to FSU though even though you guys already took his boys commitment. Obviously he's not solid to Miami (which he hasn't been the entire time) but people calling him to FSU a few weeks ago were a bit foolish considering he barely says anything. Would definitely be a huge loss for us as he'd likely be a 100+ carry guy here as a freshmen here.
That said, I still think FSU is ahead ATM.

It is very, very rare a kid decommits from a school and then commits back (I remember Aaron Lynch). He hasn't said a lot, but the comments he has made all refer to how great it would be to play with Franklin in college. With how they handled Mackenro Alexander's attempted commitment (basically told him we'll take you AND your brother, but not just you), I don't think this staff would have taken Franklin if they weren't extremely confident in landing Collins very soon. Besides looking at his film, Franklin isn't awful and he wouldn't be asked to contribute until 2015 at the earliest. Fisher takes 1 QB every class, very unlikely Franklin stays at QB, but nonetheless he'd fill that need in this class.
Interesting tidbit:
ESPN top 150 recruits signed from 2010-12: Florida State 35, Clemson 19, rest of Atlantic Division, 5. Entire Coastal Division: 36
ESPN rankings are the absolute worst so that's really not saying much.
And Franklin isn't a BCS caliber player, not even a little bit.
Right now FSU and Clemson are a combined 16-2, no one else in the conference has less than 3 losses. I'd say it's actually saying a lot as evidenced on the field.
From Dan Wetzel via twitter, Robert Nkemdiche decommites from Clemson and Ole Miss has become the new leader. That's where his brother currently plays.

False
Robert Nkemdiche, the nation’s undisputed No. 1 overall college football prospect, denied reports and rumors on Wednesday night that he had both de-committed from Clemson and/or that he was switching to Clemson.
“Nothing final yet,” Nkemdiche told the AJC in a text message at 11 p.m. EST.
When Nkemdiche was asked if he was still committed to Clemson, he replied, “Yes (still committed to Clemson). Just undecided.”

The real question is do the scholarships his 3 buddies got still stand even though he isn't going there anymore?
He forced them into giving out 3 scholarships on top of his? Damn. I thought it was just for one friend, the RB I think? That's real f***ed up of him. I wanna know his reasoning for the spur of the moment change.
