This week is a great opportunity. I expect them to put up some points, maybe Jennings has a big day, and slow down Luck. Their secondary is actually not terrible and they've had to deal with Rodgers and a sharp Stafford the past two weeks.

Absolutely not. This team is terrible at home. They have THE WORST homefield advantage in the league. The last two Jaguars games I've been to, the opposing team had as many fans as the Jags. You are right that the secondary isn't horrible, but Dwight Lowery is out, Rasheen Mathis might not play, Derrick Cox is injured, and Chris Prosinki is just horrible.
The only way I see the Jaguars making this a game is because they do have a history of performing above their expectations in home prime time games.

I'd be more concerned with Sanders and Cotch than Wallace, though Flowers has reportedly looked like poo this year.

The entire team has looked like poo. It has been tough to stomach.

First you say I'm wrong to predict they come out respectably and win then you hedge your bet by mentioning that you can see them making it a game.
WHICH IS IT? lol

you have competent offense players playing for an OC with a major ax to grind against a former boss. Pioli basically blamed Haley for all the bad in KC and absolved himself and the players by doing so. Haley has a chance to EMBARRASS him on national tv. even better, he could possibly get Pioli fired on Tuesday if he plays this game right. oh the sweet taste of vindication. all this against a defense that just fired their DC because Gary Freakin Gibbs will be better for the Chiefs than Romeo.
not to mention that our completely inept offense, can't pass block to save their life, will not be able to stop (or identify presnap) the zone blitz that LeBeau uses. our WRs are only good for tipping the ball up for ball hawking secondaries to get INTs. we will give the ball to you at least 4 times on our own side of the field. and our best player will have fewer than 10 carries because Daboll sucks this year.
the Chiefs, on the road, are losing at a historic rate. they are giving up an avg of 32 and scoring only 16 (and 90% of that has been in slop time against prevent defenses). oh yeah, and the record streak continues. THE CHIEFS, THROUGH 8 FREAKING GAMES, HAVE NOT HAD A LEAD DURING REGULATION. thats right, not a single second of a lead through 8 games. #unfreakingbelievable!

Since November 2008, the Redskins have four 17+ point loses at home. The Jaguars have four 17+ point losses this season. No other team can even come close to matching their home ineptitude.

Anything is possible in the NFL, but I would be very shocked if the Jags win tonight.

Any chance that the losing coach of the Dallas @ Philly game isn't searching for a new job at the end of the year?

Gabbert's actually handling the pressure pretty well on this drive. Cecil Shorts should've caught that.

I feel bad for Jacksonville more often than I do any team in the league. It looks like they stopped him there.
