Reggie Wayne Appreciation Thread
69 catches for 931 and going HAM on everyone while about to turn 34.
Went to Miami but he'll always be a Louisiana boy at heart.

Those are crazy numbers after only 9 weeks with a rookie QB. Although a very good one.

And yes Wayne is a HOF WR. Not first ballot but he is HOF worthy.

Reggie has been amazing this season. The separation at 34 is incredible but his best trait are his hands of glue. The drop last night on a well-thrown pass by Luck was the first easy drop I have seen him make this year. This season will help as well as it will show he can excel without Peyton.

yes there are a lot of deserving receivers who havent gotten into the HOF yet, so Reggie could have to wait his turn, but a couple more good years and he has a good shot

Two things,
One. If he has two more seasons like the one he is having right now. He is lock.
Two. Is it me or is there is way too much Reggie Wayne in the Pro Football forum right now?

I remember just last season everyone was calling Wayne overrated and nowhere near HoF caliber. Now he's a sure fire HoF receiver and better than Harrison. Statistcially there really is no comparison, Harrison had a better career, easily. Wayne is having a spectacular year, best of his career (on this pace).....but it would be the 3rd best of Harrison's career. And' that's just yards, Harrison kills Wayne in TD's.

Have ridden Reggie Wayne this year so far.....just traded him straight up for Julio Jones this week, keeper league.
Love Wayne, but my biggest memory of him was this poorly run slant

I just think that was a great play by Tracy Porter.
They were running this play over and over and over again with a lot success throughout that season. And that was a perfect situation for that route.
Porter just made a great read and stepped in front.

Playoffs.
Wayne: 17 games, 83 catches, 1128 yards, 9 TDs
Harrison: 16 games, 65 catches, 833 yards, 2 TDs
Considering that Wayne has now evolved into an incredibly physical chain mover who blocks his ass off in the run game and is having his best season at 33 with a rookie QB, and it's not even close to me now.

Obviously Wayne's production in the playoffs completely overshadows Harrison's, however bear in mind that during Harrison's prime Manning sucked throughout the playoffs. People openly questioned his ability in the clutch. By the time Manning became a good playoff QB Harrison was at the end of his career and Wayne was in his prime

16 games is a full season's sample size worth of games. We're talking a difference of about 300 yards and 7 TDs.

Peyton Manning was also very, very unspecial in the playoffs while Harrison was the top dog.

Yeah for sure, and I agree that Harrison also shrunk in the playoffs which may explain a lot of Manning's suckiness on that stage at the early part of the last decade. I just still think that Harrison has done more throughout his career than Wayne, even when factoring those numbers in. I also can't get over that Wayne basically quit on that team last year in my mind

To be fair, the entire Colts team didn't play up to it's potential sometimes in the early to mid 2000's.
