Happy Veteran's Day
In memory of those who have served, and in honor of those who serve us now.
Thanks to the SWDC posters who are Veterans.

Agreed. A big, hearty thanks to all of those that have served and those that still are serving our country.

Always think of those that didn't make it back on this day.
Thanks to CJ and all the other grunts that served.

Since I am not an American, I have no idea what difference between the Memorial's Day and Veterans' Day. Memorial for dead soldiers and Veterans for living soldiers, is that correct?

Memorial Day celebrates those who gave their lives defending. Veterans Day honors all who served, be it in peace time or in combat, living and dead.

Pretty much. For me it's just another occasion to remember friends of mine that didn't make it back from Viet Nam. Not sure that's a good thing.

Who was the poster on here who got seriously injured while serving overseas? How is he? And thank you to all our veterans for serving.

Free food is always good. Went to my local coffee shop here in the Seattle area and got a free Latte. Somehow getting shot at seemed to be all worth it.

I'm active duty. 10 years of service in exctly 5 days.
I work in engineering though. Never seen actual combat.
I make steam that propels the ship and launches the jets.
