Even with Harbaugh and Luck it was near impossible for you guys to keep up. Good luck but, this is a well oiled machine on their way to the NCG.

You know you are bad when you are only up 7-0 against my New Mexico State team at the half.

the defense is also a good bit better than with luck and harbaugh there. its gonna be a great challenge for them obviously but those studly outside linebackers just might prevent the offense flowing coast to coast like it usually does

The defense has gotten better but its just too tough to keep up with them over the course of an entire game. Guys just slow down a little and then Barner and Thomas are gone for 50 yards.
The last time Stanford won, Gerhart controlled the pace of the game and kept the ball out of their hands with long grinding drives. 38 carries that day with 223 yards. I miss his ability to just dictate the pace of a game with consistent runs of 3-10 yards at a time.
I just don't see us having enough sustained drives to limit their offensive chances. Oregon is going to win big against a team that people consider semi-decent quality. That should help them stay in that top 2 area.

Anyone else think its funny that basically a Big 12 team (yes I know A&M is SEC but the way they play is nothing like typical SEC football on offense) beat the SECZZ best team yesterday. The irony is that Bama would have never played A&M if they weren't in the SEC. Brings the whole scheduling of out of conference cupcakes into perspective for all the "top" SEC teams.
Oh well I am happy that an SEC team will more than likely not be in the championship game.

Well they did have a home and home with Penn State a couple of years back when the Nittany Lions were actually pretty good. If i'm scheduling 3 out of conferance games i'm going with one decent opponant and two cupcakes. I'm probably not going to schedule Alabama.

Not really. Nebraska is certainly much better than any Big East team, and likely the last BCS team chosen as well (be it Clemson or someone else).
The B1G is down, but any suggestion that they are at the level of the ACC or the Big East is just as stupid as it has ever been. Florida State and Clemson have feasted on an absolutely garbage conference schedule.

FSU and Clemson would destroy the B1G.

I'd put effort into refuting this, but nobody here takes you seriously anyway, so it's not worth it.

I'd put OSU/PSU/Nebraska/NW/Michigan vs either Clemson/FSU. ACC is a much worse conference.

Totally agree. Those grueling battles with Duke, wake forest, Maryland, nc state and Boston college really prepare you for the best!

The ACC is comical outside of FSU. So what the **** is the point you're making?

Have you even seen Clemson play? Their offense in the B1G would be lethal.
PSU, Northwestern, Nebraska, or Michigan vs. FSU would be a blood bath.

Honestly college football is just bad this year. Lots of good but not great teams and only some pretty good teams up top. No one that is historically significant
