Good pick for us going pass rusher. I prefer Dion Jordan, but Jarvis Jones is #2 on the wish list.

Starting to see Robert Woods going late 1st in some of these mocks. If he is available when the Packers are on the clock I wouldn't put it past Ted to pull the trigger. Jennings has recently had issues staying healthy and will be a FA. Hasn't been much indication that they are close to any kind of extension. Woods would seem to fit right into that role.

9. Is Peters out for 2013 as well? Last I checked he wasn't and this pick wouldn't make much sense. Also you have to assume Andy Reid won't be there so you can throw out the old Philly drafting linemen 1st round every year tendency.
19. LB is probably the one spot on D they don't have a need at. Brinkley, Henderson, and Greenway are solid.
26. They're pretty big on Ronnie Hillman and just drafted him, doesn't make a whole lot of sense to use 1st rounder on another RB.
29. Same logic except with Courtney Upshaw, they like him a lot and they just used a high 2nd rounder on him. They also have Suggs and Kruger so I don't see them using their 1st pick on another OLB.

1. Philadelphia has arguably the worst OL in the NFL. Peters will be 31 next year and is coming off a major injury and Todd Herremans is also going to be 31 and coming off injury. So it makes sense for them to draft a future replacement at LT and starter at RT.
2. Brinkley and Henderson are nothing special both are better served as backups/ST.
3. Ronnie Hillman is no more then a change of pace back and McGahee more then likely won't be back next year. Plus John Fox has always liked using a 2 Back system.
4. Upshaw has added nothing to the pass rush and Suggs is going to be 31 next year. They need to find a pass rusher opposite Suggs and a future replacement.

1. Teams rarely select 'future starters' with top 10 picks, just saying.
2. Agree to disagree, they are a couple of the better LBs in the league, think their secondary needs to be addressed above all else.
3. Regardless of what you think of Hillman, the Broncos continue to say they see Hillman as an every-down back, are grooming him to be a starter, etc.
4. Suggs is going to be 31, but Ray Lewis is going to be 39. ILB is a little bit more pressing than OLB for the Ravens don't you think?

I half agree with each of you. Henderson is very good when he's been on the field, but has dealt with some injuries the past couple years. Brinkley started the year well, but since then has played like **** for the most part and could definitely be upgraded and Teo would be a big upgrade and a nice addition to the defense.
The secondary could use upgrading, but when on the field over the past couple years, Cook has been a near shutdown corner and Josh Robinson is looking like a future starter and Winfield probably has another year left at a nickel corner level. Harrison Smith has been incredible at S so far and Mistral Raymond and Jamarca Sanford have been good next to him so far. I definitely wouldn't rule out the possibility of a CB or S being taken early, though, especially if it's the bpa but I think Teo would be that at this point. Justin Hunter would be another really nice pick there as well as he would be a big help for Ponder and a WR opposite Harvin is much, much needed.

If we drop down that far and end up picking a DT other than Lotulelei or Hankins, I would rather see us draft Kawann Short.

1. He will be the starting RT out the gate and be the eventually starter at LT.
2. The secondary has not played that bad this year. Safety is a need, but no safety worth the 19th pick.
3. Teams talk up players all the time. Why would a team talk negative about a player they draft. Hillman has yet to surpass McGahee on depth chart which tells me that he is not very good.
4. The Ravens will not draft Ray Lewis replacement until he official hangs it up. The biggest problem with the Ravens defense is they have had not pass rush this year and that has exposed the secondary.

1. And they're going to cut Herremans?
2. I feel the same about LB.
3. Richardson hasn't officially passed SJax yet that doesn't mean Richardson is bad and he won't be the starter for the Rams next year. David Wilson hasn't done anything its not because he's bad he just has to work on ball security and blocking issues, the Giants won't draft a RB either. I'm aware teams talk up their players, but it's no secret that Hillman was drafted to inherit the starting role when McGahee's wheels fell off, but his wheels haven't fallen off yet.
4. But they will draft Suggs' replacement? I don't really follow your logic. It's not like the ILB starting along with Lewis is a stud, McClain is mediocre at best. Either way I'd be surprised if the Ravens don't address ILB in the offseason one way or another, with the draft, FA, or both.

Jenkins is a solid Colts pick but I think I'd prefer Dion Jordan or even Zeke Ansah.

Hunter works, although Woods seems more in line with New England's offense. I'd be happy with either.

The Ravens need to add another pass-rusher. Upshaw wasn't drafted for that and I would still expect him to be the long-term starter at SAM if they draft a guy like Jordan. Suggs is getting up there in age and he needs some help. Kruger is a free agent and if he leaves then Suggs is the only guy the Ravens have that can legitimately get to the QB (Ngata is pretty inconsistent in that regard). It wouldn't be terribly hard to get Suggs, Upshaw, and Jordan all on the field at the same time either. If Kruger is re-signed then Baltimore probably won't go with a pass-rusher at OLB but at the same time I wouldn't bet against it.
ILB is a big need too but depending on who declares there might not be anybody that makes sense at that point. I'm a big Arthur Brown fan but there are concerns about his size and how he would translate to the Ravens 3-4 (also kind of depends on if Pees is still around) and I think Jordan is the better overall player anyways. If guys like Mosley and Minter go back for their senior year who would be a good pick at ILB? Nobody that I can tell at this point. There are other needs besides pass-rusher and ILB on the team too so I wouldn't pigeon-hole the Ravens pick as ILB or bust.
TL;DR - Jordan is a really good Ravens pick.
