KC and Jacksonville picked a terrible year to suck. There isn't a QB worth taking number one overall.

At least KC gets to take Mike Glennon and avoid having to draft some of the crappy QBs in this class.

Taking Barkley or Smith with the #1 overall pick would be a mistake. Pick the best player in the draft.

And who would the best player in this draft be?

Jacksonville sucks just about every year, you can't really fault them on this one. And if they want to give Gabbert more time then they will pick another position.
A QB will separate himself from the pack during the off season and leading up to the draft. If I were a KC fan I'd be ecstatic to have one of Smith, Wilson, Barkley, or whomever you prefer at QB for the future over Matt Cassel. They clearly aren't going anywhere with him.

People say this every year there's not an Andre Luck/Peyton Manning level prospect, which is 9 out of every 10 years.

And for good reason. QBs get pushed up the board way too much. Gabbert and Ponder in 2011, neither is looking too exceptional. Sam Bradford isn't anywhere near living up to his draft status. Sanchez in 2009. The list continues. If you think a QB is the 3rd or 4th best guy in the draft, take him number one. But if you are drafting a 2nd round prospect in the top-five just because he is a QB, it is going to backfire 90% of the time.

Who drafts a second round prospect in the top five? No one. Just because YOU value him as a second round prospect doesn't mean the individual teams do.

Man sucks for Jets, Rams and Titan fans....what are we 11, 12 and 13?
I hate to be caught in the middle again for the Jets like last year(16th pick)...seriously is there a bigger punishment in the league then to be 8-8? No playoffs yet no high pick and the rookie scale isn't ridiculous anymore to have to owe a top pick big money.

That would be the 7th time in 8 years that the Bills picked between 8 and 12. Have to love that perennial below-average performance that gets you nowhere.

As a Jets fan I'm happy to be picking in the teens this year. Means they won't do something stupid like draft an overhyped QB (again). Should be able to land a really explosive pass rusher even as high as pick 15, so perfect spot in the 1st round

Didn't you all trade up from a mid 1st round pick to draft your last "over hyped QB"?

If a NFL team picks a guy in the top 5, he's not a second round prospect...
Cherry picking a few guys who haven't lived up to team's hopes proves nothing. There are guys picked high at every position who disappoint. Should teams stop picking left tackles high in the draft because of Jason Smith and Robert Gallery? Should teams stop picking pass rushers high because of Jamaal Anderson, Gaines Adams and Vernon Gholston?
