While I can't complain about Barrett I'm partial to taking Ansah in this scenario.

I agree and the fan in me would probably prefer Ansah to really solidify the left end spot and he has really high upside.
That said, Jones just screams a Pats pick to me. Senior, versatile, coaching ties, graduating, academic all American etc, plus while the interior has been relatively solid they aren't the youngest group and an infusion of youth at either OC or OG would be nice too.

There is a long list of people I would rather see the Bengals take than Okafor. Mainly Sam Montgomery, Dee Milliner, Jonathan Banks, & Barrett Jones.

I completely agree. Jones looks like the prototypical Patriot OL. I do have a sneaking suspicion that BB is looking at the OL right now thinking that it's holding up pretty well, though. That might mean that he'll neglect the OL next year.

In previous mocks I have gone CB but have been told on many occassions that with Kirkpatrick and Leon Hall the Bengals need at CB is way down the list. No safety is worth the pick here either.
As for Montgomery, I think Okafor will be a riser throughout the offseason whereas I have a suspicion that Montgomery might be a bit of a slider

Like the Buc's pick. It would sting a little to lose out on Milliner if he slides that far.

It's hard to say what kind of defensive scheme they'll be using after this season but if Pees sticks around (I hope the hell not) then Ansah probably isn't a great fit. The Ravens are using a lot more of the base 3-4 alignments instead of the over/under than we've seen in the past and at DE Ansah would be 2-gapping which isn't suited for him at all IMO. I don't think he projects well enough as a pass-rusher at OLB either to justify the pick, especially since he would (eventually) be playing across from Upshaw. It's a tough situation though since if Pees is gone then there are scenarios where Ansah would be a good pick.

This is off topic a bit but I knew Pees was a mistake and a huge downgrade from what the Ravens are used to. IT doesn't surprise me to hear Ravens fans are unsatisfied with him.

Interesting mock, I have a lot of respect for you as a poster and can see that you do your homework which is all that anybody can ask. However I have some suggestions which I think you might consider.
Manti Teo and Chance Warmack look like top 10 picks to me and I love the bookend OT's on Texas A&M and think they will go a bit higher. Joeckel, in particular, looks like a top 5 guy to me and his position LT, usually goes pretty high for the talented ones. Teo sure looks like a top 5 guy to me and I believe that Chance Warmack is a better prospect than DeCastro was last year and will get drafted a lot higher.
Keenan Allen could go high (supply and demand) at the position and Robert Woods has a bum ankle which has seen his production slip off a lot but by the combine, he may be fully healthy and move back up.
The only other comment I have concerns Tyler Wilson who I don't believe is a top 20 prospect. His former HC, always made his QB's look great at Arkansas and Louisville but they never amounted to much as pros and I really think Wilson will fall intothat category and may not be even a 1st rounder considering how much his game has dropped off as a senior, without Petrino.
Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the comments.
I think in regards to Wilson, this year really is a bad year to be needing a QB high. Each top prospect has noticeable flaws to their game. It all will depend on which prospect teams believe has the most fixable flaw.
Warmack I love and I have a top 10 grade on him for my big board. However just simply looking at the history of the draft OGs are seldom drafted highly. Many pegged DeCastro as a potential top ten pick last year but he fell. I do agree and I like Warmack better, however I think it is a stretch to actually put him in the top 10 right now. And the same goes for Te'o. Especially in today's NFL the need for LBs has gone down due to scheme. I think if you get studs then it is such an asset (look at SF for an example of a team who doesn't suffer from keeping their LBs on the field on passing downs) however more and more defensive cooridnators are taking the approach of getting more DBs and more pass rushers on the field. Even though it's not a league wide approach this inevitably will push Te'o's value down a little IMO

I can understand your reasoning, it is solid, but IMO, Teo is very special and Warmack is only a small step behind him. Of the 2, Warmack might slip a little but I still think Teo is too good not to go pretty high.

I can get behind taking Jake Matthews for the Rams but don't see them going for yet another rookie wideout, even one as talented as Keenan Allen.
I look for the Rams to continue to build both of the lines and pick up a WR in FA this offseason. We have enough youngins' and need some young veteran for Sam to throw to.

IAC-Wilson is having almost an identical season as lat year. His rating is 1.0 different then last season's. The only difference is a few more ints. I think your concern about the system is lessened by the spread trend in the league now. What Wilson has shown, similar to Ryan and Cutler, is producing while facing constant pressure on a struggling team. If doing this the past 2 seasons hasn't ruined him as far as mechanics/health, he'll be able to produce on an NFL team as well. He's got a solid arm/adequate mobility and plays with a chip. And doing it with only one real weapon. (Hamilton) Last year's WRs entering the NFL was supposed to be a sign that maby the talent was inflating his numbers. None of those guys have even really flashed as yet in the league. Maby he was elevating them.
On the mock for the Browns-it's all about Jones' medical-he will drop. And I think he's a poor fit in a 43 scheme.

Wilson may suprise me as a pro, I think we will get a better read on him in the post season. Pro scouts put a lot of faith in how productive players are who come from a certain HC's. Petrino's QB's have all been flops at the next level and that will hurt Wilson on draft day, just like it hurt Rodgers when Tedford coached him. It obviously doesn't mean there is no chance that Wilson can succeed, Rodgers put that to rest. However, on NFL.com, I'm not seeing any love for Wilson, the 3 they mention are Geo Smith, Barkley and Glennon as the top runners.
I agree that Jones medical will slot him accordingly, the talent is there but so too is an injury history. Pretty sure, the Browns will be looking for a WR even if it involves trading back to get value. Keenan Allen would look awflully good in a Brown's uniform.

I'm ok with Monty going to NO. I do think I need to do some research Sheldon Richardson though.

give me richardson, and watch the UF-Mizzou game if you want to know why. Richardson is risky but has the highest upside of any DT in this class iyam
