Prospect Throwdown #2
So both guys are freaks. Long, Lean and explosive. Both can get to the QB but need a little help at holding up at the POA in the run game. Both come from big time programs.
Which one you want? And why?

Tough, tough question. I like Jordan better but it's not easy to pin point why. Mingo plays with power better then his style suggests. Jordan is used in space more but might have a quicker first step. It could come down to intangibles. Which one appears easier to coach, be a professional and pick up the scheme.

Jordan - primarily because he's more comfortable in space, but also Mingo's lack of production worries me.

Not a fan of Mingo at all, I don't even think he is the best defensive end on his team. Jordan easily.

They both underwhelm in the production department.

Watch a little more film on Jordan. You'll see he does a lot for then in terms of rushing the passer and dropping into cover slot Wrs.

I think Mingo has the higher ceiling of the 2, he is a tremendous pass rusher who will only get better as a pro. He has top 10 potential on draft day but Dion is no slouch either and should go top 15.

Jordan would be the 3rd best DE on the team...
This is Mingo.

So if you had Jerry Rice and Randy Moss on the same team you would discount Moss as a player because he isn't even the best WR on his team?
I just hate that argument. Two of them play and both are talented players.

The combination of Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo aren't remotely comparable to Jerry Rice and Randy Moss. I didn't mean that not being the best on his team at his position meant he was worthless, I meant it to indicate how low I rate Mingo.
