Ya I wonder which deal Martin takes. I think he might wait for Napoli, though.

The money I hear for Martin is outrageous. He's so ordinary.

Yeah, I had to double-check we were talking about Russell Martin. Teams would be better off just drafting a Buster Posey.

Well, yeah, you should draft yourselves a Buster Posey and then you could get a ROY, MVP and 2 WS.

BJ Upton to the Braves, reportedly 5 years-70 or 75 million
Good deal for both sides, and necessary for the Braves to keep up with the Nats.

The Braves could use an extra RHP, you can have Costanza for him.

Anybody else think that's cheap for Span? He's WAY underpaid on his current contract given the free agent market for outfielders.

I like Meyer but yes I would of expected quite a bit more for Span

Seriously, **** the Twins. They are just worthless. I was expecting a starting pitcher, but that's just stupid. They aren't even trying anymore.

I loved him as a draft prospect was just another steal by the Nationals late in the 1st, you could of done worse

I'm not going to pretend I've ever even heard of Alex Meyer, but if he's as solid a prospect as I'm hearing what's wrong with it exactly? Where was Denard Span taking us?

I like the deal for the Twins. Maybe they could have gotten more, but Meyer is solid.

Writing was on the wall for Span. Best to move him now. We've got a slew of OF in the minors, and capable guys in the majors already. I'd have liked to have gotten a little more, but I don't mind the trade. The Twins need to start taking some chances on pitchers like Meyer instead of going with the soft tossing finesse guys.

The thing is that he had multiple years left on a very reasonable contract. You'd think they could do better than a Single A picther.
