Rodgers probably would have been thrust in and considered a bust, even throwing to Larry.
But really, comparisons like that are fun to look at, but with the way team needs fall, it's not all that relevant. Plus, they took several "safe" guys in there too like Gallery and McClain who no one would have guessed that they'd bust. Gallery proved serviceable after moving to guard, but you don't take mediocre guards that high. And I think McClain still could prove decent if he ends up in the right situation. (A 3-4 team who can mask his weaknesses.)

What did he say? I'd love to hear what Romanowski has to say about anyone, considering what a terrible human being he is.

True, and it is sad how bad you can be at 1st round picks for so long. Funny thing is I see a bunch of physical tools out of those guys, so while the 40 yard dash joke probably got old it's obvious that is what drove a bunch of their picks.
But playing the hindsight game it is fun to think about Rodgers throwing to Fitzgerald, even if none of the other picks would have happened that alone would have been fun to see.

Gallery was even kinda beastly at guard for a couple of years, and then he started getting hurt. There was once a time where I wanted him over Eli. Past me was such an idiot sometimes.

and he would've been playing in whatever passed for an offensive gameplan there for the last few years, rather than in green bay's passing offense. and fitz would've been running nothing but 9's all day.

The Raiders actually traded ahead of the Packers in order to draft Fabian Washington. I remember watching that draft and thinking that they *MUST HAVE* moved up for Rodgers, knowing that he wouldn't get past both Green Bay and Washington.
That Al Davis...I'll miss his whacky draft-day moves!

Can you imagine that offense? Aaron Rodgers tossing the ball to Megatron and Fitz while Spiller carries out of the backfield.

Per Birkett, Young purposely lined up in the wrong place on the field “multiple times” during the Lions’ Week Eleven loss to Green Bay. He also “mouthed off” to receivers coach Shawn Jefferson before being benched for the final possession. Apparently upset that he wasn’t getting enough passes thrown his way, Young responded by attempting to sabotage the Lions’ passing offense.
|
Well that's not good for him.

I don't care how much potential a guy has but how can you keep a dick like this on your roster? How can you get your players to go to war with this guy when he has deliberately tried to ruin your offensive gameplan? I think this is another black mark against Schwartz the head coach because in quite a few other orgainsations he would be out on his ass by now

Cedric Griffin did the same thing last year. Got benched when he played the wrong defense on purpose and gave up a 60 yard TD because of it.
God I hated Cedric Griffin.

Carolina is 0-12 on coin tosses this year. That's impressive just for the mathematical improbability.
That happened to the Bears once a few years back. Might have been the Superbowl trip season in '06 iirc. We were like 1-15 on regular season coin tosses.

i would imagine that his fellow players are having... words with him about this.
if they're not, they should probably be released, too.

Yeah well Calvin Johnson has pretty much stated he is happy enough to move on with Broyles and Thomas and forget about Young.
The guy is an idiot, it's not like this is the first anti-team thing he has done either. I could be wrong but didn't he sucker punch one of his defensive teammates as well, Delmas maybe???

It was Delmas, one of the most respected players on the team. And it's not like he has antics and produces. For a guy who literally has done nothing, and plays with Calvin Johnson, it's one of the more baffling stories I've heard.

Tebow may not be a great player, but he is a great product. He sell tickets and merch. I'd trade for him just for the financial impact.
